Any metric spanner will do of the correct size.. might be best to use an open-ended spanner as the cables will restrict the use of a socket..

How to replace passenger turn signal bulb

The side marker light must be removed in order to get at the turn signal light.
There are two screws holding the side marker light which is situated above the turn signal.
Open the hood.
Remove the phillips head screw at the top of the side marker light.
Using a long #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw on the outside of the side marker light. This can be seen by looking between the lower side of the side marker light and the top side of the turn signal.
The side marker can be moved.
The turn signal has one screw on the top of the fixture that must be removed.
Slide out the turn signal fixture. There is a small feature on the lower front corner of the turn signal fixture that you must note to properly reinstall the turn signal.
In order to get to the bulb, rotate the bulb socket 1/4 turn CW or CCW. The bulb socket is loose.
The bulb is simply pressed into the socket.
Not sure of the type, but it can be found at your locale auto parts store.
The bulb is used in several places on the 1994 GC, so get apacket with two, if possible.
Assembly in reverse. Be careful not to overtighten the screws as they are replaced

Brake light passenger side is out. After changing the bulb, will not light. Wires look in good shape, not corrosion or breaks. While putting the fixture back into place, quickly came on then went off...

The problem is suspected to be the 'contacts' at the base of the bulb socket/holder/fixture - poor contact. If the contact point overheated and it melted (then 'sank' into its holder/fixture, then replace the bulb socket.

How do i change rear directional light bulb on a 2006 ford explorer ?

lift the tailgate

unscrew the 2 hex screws with a socket wrench.

the entire back light fixture will now be able to be poped out. Pull slowly and firm on the fixture it will pop free.

Behind the fixture you will see the wires leading to your light bulb turn a quarter turn to loosen and remove the socket. change the bulb and repeat the steps backwards to replace the light.

Reverse light fuse blows when put into reverse

Unfortunately, many possibilities. If you have time, start by removing both reverse lamp sockets from light assembly(and keep from touching any metal), remove bulbs from sockets, CAREFULLY INSPECT sockets and wires. New fuse of correct rating. Turn key on and try again in reverse.
Fuse still blows: Next place to look is transmission reverse electrical switch and wiring as far as you can trace looking for burned/stripped wires near transmission and wires by sockets
Fuse doesn't blow: Turn key off and install one lamp in socket at a time. DO NOT install sockets into fixture at this time. Test. Remove first lamp to check second. If still O.K., each socket back into fixture(one at a time same as before)and test. Most common problems: Sockets contaminated, wires shorting at sockets, bulbs installed incorrectly shorting to ground.

Need to replace rear left turn signal light on 92 sentra. do I access it from back of fixture (ie, remove fixture) or does outside cover come off?

Thru the trunk. Peel back the inside covering( may have retainer screws or buttons) you will either see the individual sockets or a cple additional screw/bolt/nuts. Most likely will be retainer buts. remove those and the lens will fallout(be ready to catch it) the replace bulbs as needed and reinstall in reverse order from removal.

Replace brake light

Open the trunk and remove the carpeted panel on the opposite side of the light. This is easy to do. At the top of the panel there are small round plastic fixtures that pull out, no tool is needed. Once removed, take the panel out and you will see the bulb sockets. Locate the one that is out. Twist slightly and pull the socket out. You will then pull the bulb straight out of the socket and replace with a new one. Once new bulb is in the socket you can put it all back together and test the light.

Need to clean the inside of the headlight fixture

How did the inside get scratched? Never seen it before. You can resurface the outside of lights with the 3M sanding kit. About $400 for the kit or find a shop that does around $130 for the pair
