Hello. A vibration in the steerign wheel indicates an issue with the front tires. They are either out of balance, and would need to be rebalanced, or it is possible (although remotely) that the tire(s) may be compromised (after hitting a pothole), the belts in the tire may be corrupted. What I would suggest is to take the car to a reputable tire place, and get the balance checked. While the tire is on the balancer, the Tech will be able to see if the tire is out-of-round due to possible road damage. Probably just a tire balance problem. I'd check with manufacturer of tow bar to be sure it bolts on the same etc. I'm sure they would give you that info, and if nothing else, call a place that sells them and ask for kit number for both vehicles & if they are the same number, well, just need to check that they bolt on exactly the same, that's why I would contact manufacturer for copy of install instructions for the new install.

It depends on the specification when ordered new, Some had power steering some didn't. The only way to be certain is to open the bonnet and look for the pump on the side of the motor with the 2 hoses that run down to the steering rack.
