1998 safari rear door lock / power locks

This problem can be caused by a few things, it could be the rear door lock switch or lock module located under the dash or last the rear door actuator.

You say that all door lock and unlock on there on, this tells me it most likely has a module problem or wiring to the rear door is bad.
The first thing i would do would be to remove the rear door panels and check wiring to switches and actuator, then follow wiring from inside the rear hatch to where in goes through the body. the wiring most times breaks at that point where the wiring is bent over from opening and closing rear door ,

Locate the wiring going into door or doors. sometimes the wiring only goes into one door but then sometimes in goes into both doors, check the wiring closely . it may be covered in a rubber boot . if it is covered you will need to slide boot back to check wiring.

Good day. hope this is helpful.

1994 GMC Safari. Rear a/c unit. I want to replace

It is not necessary to remove the ac lines for removal of the intake manifold.Remove the bolts that hold the ac compressor and it will allow enough room to access the intake.Make sure you mark the location of the number one cylinder on the distributor before removal.

Looking for instructions to bypass, remove, disable the passlock anti theft system in my 1998 gmc safari, so I can start and run the darn thing.

Your problem may be a bad ignition lock switch it is a common problem usually caused by worn ignition keys. I would get a new key and see if that don't solve your problem. If that don't work then you need to replace the lock itself they have a security feature built in them that won't allow the car to start unless the proper key is installed (sometimes a new key works) this prevent thieves from taking your car by using a screwdriver or by hot wiring ...This security feature is in the lock itself not in the key GM did put it in the key but not for your vehicle

1996 gmc safari, 6cyl.-distributor gear broke.replaced.can't time

Roll the engine around until the compression stroke on number one cylinder (both valves are closed) and stop on top dead centre. The rotor should be pointing to the number one terminal on the distributor. If it is not extract the distributor and replace it with the rotor pointing to number one. That should be it. Hopefully their are no other issues relating to the original breakage so you should make sure the new distributor is spinning normally.

97 safari won't start when wet, after it rains the van will not start, fuel pump is new, seems like no spark, let dry for couple of days and it runs like normal

Had same exact problem, it was a bad coil. I could not duplicate "no start" problem with water bottle. Replaced coil and problem gone.
Note: There was a noticeable engine misfire at highway speeds on humid days. This accompanied the no start problem.

Locate thermostat 1996 safari

If this has a 4.3 v6, which most do, remove air filter cover, base, mas air flow sensor, snorkle, and throttle body cover. T-stat is on drivers side front, top of engine between a/c compressor and throttle body.

My dads 1986 Gmc Safari want start

Take off your gas cap and have someone stand there with thier ear at the hole, (no smoking), turn the key to on just before start and they should hear the fuel pump humming. if they dont then try to start. if it doesnt start turn key off and at that instant the pump should be heard again. What i think is happening is your pump is not energizing . Its supposed to energize when turning your key on and off. This can be caused by a bad fuel pump or pump relay switch. Hope this helps. please rate me
