2000 jaguar s type windshield wiper reservoir tank leaking how do you replace it

The tank is under the front wheel arch. The best way is to remove wheel and splash guards and you will be able to access the tank from the engine bay and the wheel arch. Check first that the leak is not from where the pipe connects to the screen wash pump or the grommet that holds the pump in place in the tank. these would seem more likely than a split tank. The pump justs twists out of the grommet - its tight but not impossible to remove and replace if the pump has a fault on its body or pipe cionnections.
Hope this helps. good luck.

No washer fluid

Probably need to remove the tire and inner wheel well liner to gain access to the tank. You might get lucky and get at the pump without having to remove the tank. Unhook the connector and pop the pump out of the rubber grommet. If tank is full, all the fluid will instantly drain out.

Headlight washer system leaks out all the fluid just sitting without using the pump button

first check where it's leaking from, if water dropping near front wheel it's leaking from tank first check the rubber grommet for both washer motor 1 wiper washer motor and 2 head light washer motor, both are in the water tank, if your car water dropping from front end under the front bumper it should leaking from washer nozzle in this case need to replace the head light washer nozzle. some time leaking from hose if you check from underneath you can see where it's leaking from,

Just bought rover metro 1.1 brakes not good do i

Take the car to quickfit, they will do a free brake check and,if required, fit front pads, rear shoes.Metro not good at breaking anyway, stops wheels from locking too quick....also as your car is fairly old change the discs as well.will make all the difference.

How to replace right blinker light on 2005 dodge caravan

Remove the assembly
  1. Open your tailgate.
  2. Look for two (2) round flat black discs about the size of a dime (but thicker) on the inside of the body (between the red lens and the weather striping).
  3. Using a pair of pliers, pull out each of these two discs.
    • Note they are in tight and may require a fair bit of force to remove.
  4. Make sure the inner part of the disc also comes out. There are two parts to this system, a grommet and a plug:
    1. Push the plug backwards through the grommet.
      • The grommet fits into the actual hole in the body, and is spread by the plug, the pressure holding them in place.
    2. Carefully remove both grommet and plug.
      • The lens assembly will fall away from the vehicle when you pull out the second grommet so be careful.
  5. Note the wiring harness that connects to a plug inside. Beside that plug are two holders for the actual bulbs.
  6. Remove the holder by pressing the sides inwards and pulling. The light socket should come out.
  7. Replace with the correct bulb (The 2004 Dodge Caravan uses an 3057 bulb that has a flat base with 2 wires running over it. Check your manual for your bulb.)
    1. Pull on the old bulb to remove.
    2. Press the new build firmly in.
  8. Check the light:
    • Press the brake pedal.
    • Turn on the signal light.
  9. Make sure it lights before replacing the lens assembly.
Troubleshoot and inspect
  1. While you have the assembly removed is a good time to check for signs of failure, or potential future failure. It's also a good time to clean things up.
    • Look for cracks and burns which can be a common sign of electrical problems. Replace any components that are too damaged to be used.
    • Clean the reflectors and lenses.
    • Use compressed gas, alcohol, soft rags or big Q-tips to clean heavy dirt accumulated on the auto tail lights.
    • Use the utmost care to prevent scratches on the reflectors or accidentally removing the plastic's coating.
    • Soapy water mixed with raw rice can be used to clean the tail light cluster.
    • After cleaning rinse with distilled water and allow to dry naturally for 24 hours.
    • Repaint the reflectors with silver paint to repair scratched reflective coating
    • Check for moisture. Moisture is one of the main causes of burned halogen auto tail lights. The trapped water vapor inside the light can cause it to explode or even burn out. Moisture inside the light usually indicates faulty seals and gaskets.
    • Replace crumbling gaskets:
    • Place a thin layer of silicon sealer in the seating groove.
    • Mix in a little oil while the silicon is still soft.
    • Allow this concoction to dry and get hard.
    • Check the electrical connections that join the bulbs. For a better connection, the spring connections on the bulb base can be moved towards the bulb base to generate more pre-load against the bulb.
Replace the assembly
  1. Slide the front edge of the assembly into the guide.
  2. Press the back end into place.
  3. Hold it in place and press the inner part of the grommet into the hole.
  4. Push the outer (central) part of the grommet into the inner part.
    • This takes a fair bit of pressure, and you must make sure that the hole in the inner grommet lines up with the outer plug grommet.
  5. Check the lights and you're done.

Gas leaking out where you fill the front tank

You probably have a defective fuel-tank selector valve. Its located on the left frame rail, halfway down. While the vehicle is running, tank"A" is pumping fuel to the engine, while tank "B" is getting the unneeded fuel that is returning from the engine. Thats why it is overflowing.
