To me it sound like you have oil getting into your radiator fluid either from engine or transmission lines..As for the overflow problem make sure the fan is coming on when it gets hot..It could be water pump or radiator or thermostat

I think my car blew its head gasket, but theirs no water in oil,if idling temperature stay normal, fans do come on when idling for long.I`ve changed spark plugs, plug wires, thermostat and heat sensor unit.As...

white smoke from the exhaust and overheating would almost certainly mean a blown head gasket.
the head gasket has gone between a cylinder and a cooling channel so exhaust gasses can get in to the cooling system resulting in the boiling and water from the cooling system is getting into the cylinder resulting in the white smoke (actually steam) from the exhaust.
the exhaust manifold is a separate issue that can be replaced when the head gasket is repaired.

I guess i have a broken head gasket, do you recomend a product called Steel Seal?

you can try it, but read this stuff first. I'd recommend replacing it, but if you haven't the time or money, . . .it sounds like that a lot of people have had success with it. But you can't go wrong with a new gasket Fel-Pro permatorque gaskets are what I use.

I need to seal up a head gasket in my 1990 cavalier. What do I use??

Autozone sells a great product that I have used on several cars with great results it's called block seal. make sure you follow the instructions to the letter on the bottle. By the way first time I used it was five years ago on my buddies car and he's still driving it, and it was so bad that after only 2 miles the radiator would completly empty into the crank case.

99 Grand Am was leaking coolant from the over flow?

could be that it was hot or could be that you have a blown head gasket. If the engine got hot once it could have been enough to blow the head gasket. Does it blow it out after it warms up every time?
