SOURCE: head gasket blown
there are many was a head gasket can blow . sometimes they just leak to the outside sometimes they leak to the coolant and then it blows out your antifreeze. if you have a blown head gasket you will see it when you pull the head. and yes you should hace the head checked at a machine shop and install with a new head set never reuse a gasket .

An adjustable torque wrench, a full set of extensions, a valve spring press, a stem extractor and a a bearing press. That is of course on top what every shop should have.

sorry but nothing you put in the rad will hold a head gasket ,and putting just water in will destroy it even quicker as its aluminium it will corode the water ports ,take the head off now and sort it or you will just end up throwing it away as junk
