Question about 2006 Dodge Ram 2500
A/C not working on my 06 Dodge Ram 2500. How do I troubleshoot the problem?
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram sometime the ac blowes hot and sometimes it freeze out of the cab please help me

You need a set of A/C gauges and a test light. First, hook the gauges up to the compressor. The blue line is the low side, and the red is the high side. Next, using your test light, check to make sure there is power going to the compressor. If no, need to check a/c relay, fuses, etc. If yes, then you need to look at the gauges to see what they indicate. Identical pressures on the gauges without the compressor running indicates the system is equalized and the system is low on freon. Once the freon is charged to the correct level, the compressor should come on. If not, it needs to be replaced.

Alot of times these switches get water from the rain coming in intoo them causing the contacts to short or not make contact at all, unfortunately they are not servicable but you may want to try spraying some electrical cleaner into the switch working the button at the same time this may help
