Sensor is located at front of engine near crankshaft pulley which is the very bottom pulley and has one bolt holding it in place, remove bolt and pull sensor out. Hope this helps.

For the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am:
I do not know if you have the 2.4L DOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder or the 3.1L V6. However I have included both below. I suspect based on the SE Model you have the 3.1L V6.

How many heated oxygen sensors are on a 2001 pontiac grand am SE 4 cylinder and where are they located? how can i find out which one needs to be changed?

Hi:
You have 2 oxygen sensors, and they are mounted in the exhaust, one before and one after the catalytic converter. I am pretty sure the upstream one is threaded into the exhaust manifold, and is easy to find.

Code 300 and 330 on 2001 Pontiac Grand Am

po330 is a bad knock sensor, the sensor will cause, sluggish engine, poor acceleration, poor fuel economy. the signal is sent to pcm and the timing is retarded to compensate for the severe detonition. on 4 cylinder models, the knock sensor is located on the rear firewall side of the engine block, below exhaust manifold.on v6 models , the sensor is located on the front radiator side of engine block above the oil filter.

2001 pontiac grand am se 2.4.car cranks ,but will not start.

The cam sensor is in the head near the throttle cables. The crank sensor is in the block near the oil filter. There aren't any sensors behind the balancer. If it is a problem with the security system the security light will be blinking. Does the vehicle start and die or just not crank or crank but not fire?
