SOURCE: engine light on dodge3.8
If you want to do it by yourself, I strongly recommend you to buy a manual book because there is a built-in self dianostic Check Engine light codes. And how to do it, just insert the key into the ignition and do it three times, Turn On and Off the switch but don't start the engine, and you will see the check engine blinking. Count the blink and start with 1-2 blinks, the next blink is to tells you where is the problem and it will end to 5-5 blinks.(BLINK is the CODE) and you could check in the book. If you know somebody has an OBDII Scan/Diag.,thats will be easy. ok

Have you tried the transmission mounts as well? And where all of the mounts are located are they still in good shape and solid? No rust or anything
