Horn hardly used, goes now and again but very faint

Pop the hood and look in the engine compartment for the horn (they usually look like a small megaphone). If you can see a wire(s) that are attached to the horn, check for a loose connection/broken wire/corrosion, etc. along as much of the wire(s) that you can see. I suggest this because sometimes if the connection is loose/corroded the horn will sound weird or not as loud. Good luck.

Horn stays on when battery is connected

heres what you should try. unhook battery neg cable, remove horn relay in fuse box under the hood. lock drivers door with the key, reconnect battery, unlock drivers door with key and start the car, reinstall the horn relay and cover the fuse box back up...should be good to go. works for an acura because i just did it the other day!! good luck... oh yea put your horn back on there too. good luck

Horn no blow

check for blowed fuse or bad relay, you can hook test light to see if horn getting power when you press horn pad if fuse and relay okay, remove horn and hot wire it if it blows, more likely horn pad with airbag in steering wheel bad,if horn pad bad you have to replace whole airbag with with horn pad as a unit.if horn dont blow when hot wired then horn it self is bad.

For 2004 ford truck f150 extended cab, I found the horn fuse, where is the horn relay?

disconnect the horn or horns, operate the horn and see if the fuse still blows. if the fuse still blows then there is most likely a short in the wiring. relays rarely cause shorts. if the fuse doesnt blow with the horn disconnected, reconnect the horn and operate the horn again, if the fuse blows you have a shorted horn.

99 dodge durango. My horn keeps blowing the 20 amp fuse under hood. There is also a horn relay. Could that be the problem? The horn will work after I replace the 20 amp, but blows within a few times of...

could be you might check it out. many items take the same relay so you might try exchanging it with another one with the same numbers. If that isn't it you may have a short in the horn itself.

Horn blows fuses

Don't bypass the fuse, you'v either got a short in the horn or the wrong fuse
it takes a 20 amp and I highly ecommend using a plug in breakr instead of a fuse

Put in a breaker, if it trips unplug the horn and try again, if the breaker trips again, there's a pinched wire, if it does NOT trip replace the horn itself
