My toyota fork lift turnover real good but wont start,checked to see if getting propane from propane bottle to pump ,cracked line and its getting propane but won,t start

First let's confirm that it is a fuel problem. Get a Coleman propane bottle and a torch that attaches to said bottle. Find a way to inject propane into the intake system. By filter or by maf sensor. As you inject propane into the system have someone start the truck. If it starts for 5 seconds or more then it is a fuel problem. If it does not start then it is a spark issue. Try this method and update me as to what happened and I'll try to help you get that truck going. Sorry only way to answer was to edit my post, it is quiet safe. Learned that in mechanics class in college. Safer than starting ng fluid. But i understand need your hesitation. Good luck

I have no experience with propane stuff but from your description I suspect the cold start enrichment is not working or at least it isn't getting enough gas.

This would tend to be proved if the engine fires up on a whiff of ether.

sounds like either the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself has gone out. check fuse panel first then check fuel pump relay. if those are good then check power leads to pump at tank and if you have power there then the pump has probably failed. hope this helps. Chris

vacuum line schematic should be on the rad support under the hood to locate the leak, buy a small bottle of propane put on the nozzle but don't light . as you pass the propane over the leak the revs will increase . you have found your leak

filling the filters before installing will make priming go more quickly.
once the pump is primed crack open the fuse line at the injector while cranking until you have fuel pulsing out, close it then move on to the next injector.
keep doing this until the engine runs smoothly.
it may start running before all the injectors have been purged so keep clear of all moving parts and a fire extinguisher handy would be a good idea.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. To test you will need a small bottle of propane. Usualy comes in a blue can and a nozzle to control the flow out of it. Start the car. Pop the hood. Locate your vacuum lines. Move the bottle around the lines, intake cleaner, intake manifold. Listen for the idle to smooth out. You will have located your vacuum leak.

The pump is located in the washer fluid bottle. Can you hear the pump go on. If you can then it's possible that the nozzles are clogged. You can also inspect the lines for the nozzles on the hood back to the washer fluid bottle.

If the pump does not go on then check the fuse in the junction box in the engine compartment. Good Luck

There is a problem with water getting into the wiring somewhere. I notice mine won't start after it rains but as it dries out goes like a dream. I haven't found out where it is getting in yet.

sounds like you have a leaky gas line,...the fuel pump is in the gas tank, so when you turn the key on, the pump is activated and pressurizes the line,..... good to get it checked out on a lift,....good luck, cracklin joe

remove the fuel line from the carb, put it into a bottle, crank the engine, If the bottle has fuel in it the fuel pump is working properly, if not, check the filter, and the fuel lines to the tank!!!
