93 Honda Civic dx will not start. new fuel pump igniter, has spark

sorry if you guess and guess wrong. really, must be expensive.

ok got spark (and timing is good, timing light test)

if test fuel ( use instant start in a spray can) fails, with spark

then engine is bad, compression is checked, see near 80 not 150+ PSI , the timing belt has slipped. if not changed by the book

they slip and the engine grenades (or bends valves)

this is an interference engine, never ignore the belt.

there is an acid test order.

1 compression good.

2 spark good, and timed

3 fueling is last. (if spark plugs dry add fuel, by hand)

cant burn fuel with no compression and spark. well with EFI it cant run right with bent valves either.

here is Chad running an engine (any) with no gas tank

even his battery is dead. and has external battery. for 12v power.

a real trooper.

ive done this 1000s of times. in 60 years.

his engine only makes 80 psi (old) and still starts.

but EFI will never do that not that low. compression

the cam slips and goes retarded compression drops to near 1/2

and the valve timing is so bad, the exh opens late and pollutes the

next last intake charge. the card house falls and then the valve bend.

take if from me, nostarts are a blessing on any honda

maybe it saved your valves.? do the service on time./

I need a picture to locate exactly where the spark plugs are located on a 04 Honda accord

What you see that is labeled on the engine as "V-Tech" is the engine cover, your spark plugs are mounted beneath it.

Remove the engine cover by unscrewing the 4 bolts in it, and the engine oil cap, and pull the cover straight up.

On the front side of the engine directly in front of the exhaust manifold you'll see 4, or 6 depending on which engine you have, rectangular plastic "devices" with a bolt in two corners of it and a wire attached to it.
Those are the ignition coils...the engine has what is called a "coil on plug" ignition system...your spark plugs are mounted beneath those. Remove the 2 bolts, and pull up on the coil pack. You spark plug is at the bottom of the hole.

The rear window dropped into the door of my 04 Honda Pilot. I have everything off so I can pull the window up and secure it until I can afford to get it fixed. Problem is, it will only go up half way,...

Buy the broken window regulator now, and replace it.
You don't want to go inside another door, for the next ten years.

Get what fixed? Your 80% home, change the regulator yourself

Where is the best place to get step by step

(This is a 2 part answer)

If your looking to just change the spark plugs its very very simple.
- Remove The Cover under the Honda Emblem
(Should be just 4 basic nuts)

After this you should see 4 wires.
- label them 1-4 and remember where they go.
remove them from the block, and down in each cylinder is the spark plugs. use a spark plug socket tool and a long extension and a 3/8" drive ratchet to remove and replace the plugs.

After replacing the plugs put the wires back in the designated cylinder holes and put the cover on over the wires and replace the 4 nuts you took off.

1.) start vehicle
2.) Left vehicle idle ( listen and watch motor, look for anything out of the ordinary)
3.) Turn the vehicle off and that should solve your problem.

04 s2k serious engine viberation at idle and when slowing down the rpm drops real low and shut off. was told might be oil in the spark plugs. changes the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube gasket,...

Need to get the code(s) read on the computer to focus your problem search. Swapping things with new parts can be an expensive troubleshooting process.

All vehicles are different but the concept is the same. The spark plug is mounted into the cylinder head.
