Question about 1997 Ford Ranger SuperCab
97 Ranger 2.3 cranks stumbles and dies, I can hear the fuel pump prime and I have changed the fuel filter. the truck will start with fluid. I have also hooked up the code reader but no codes are present. I am at a loss any suggestions?
If it has fuel pressure at the fuel rail then it is more than likely the computer. You can unscrew the cap on the rail and push the center in with a knife or something and there should be fuel that sprays out. If not then you are not getting fuel to that point.
