Removing torque converter bolts on a 2008 passat VW

I have no experience of this model but there is usually a cover or plug that can be removed to expose a potion of the engine side of the flexplate. The engine is turned slowly by hand to bring each torque converter bolt into view in turn.

Torque converter bolt heads are usually forged with a flange and are fairly shallow so an exceptionally good-fitting socket is advised. The bolts are usually adhesive coated and will remain tight to unscrew until almost the last thread.
Best practice is to renew adhesive coated bolts but a few spots of nutlock would serve.

Adhesive coated bolts are date coded and have a shelf life of only 2 years.

For installing trunk lid weatherstrip on a 1994 Cadillac Concours DeVille, what is the best weatherstrip adhesive to use, approximately how many ounces of the adhesive are needed, and what is the best way...

You are reading into it too far !....... put it (nozzle) into groove and squeeze 3M weatherstrip adhesive (black) for a thin coat all the way around seal then carefully start putting it on, making sure you don't stretch it installing it....otherwise you will have a bunched up spot when you end . and will have to try and work it out pushing outward all the way around to get slack out of it. DO NOT CUT IT !!! IT'S MADE TO FIT TRUNK AND MAKE SURE IT'S NOT UPSIDE DOWN !!!!

The passenger window on my f 150 came unglued from track what kinda glue do i use to glue it back

3M Panel bonding adhesive is the proper adhesive. It is about $40. I would recommend thorough cleaning of the window using a razor blade and denatured alcohol. Also, remove the black seat clips and clean this area really well. Leave the window up for 24 hours in a heated garage to let the adhesive cure properly.

best of luck!

I need to reattach the door seal on my truck. what do i use to make it stay?

Hi Belangertodd,
Upholstery professionals use Contact Adhesive for this type of job. It can be bought on most hardware stores. 3M's High Performance Contact Adhesives are pretty good. Selleys Contact Adhesives are great too. Make sure both surfaces to be joined are clean and free from oil and debris. You smear the glue on both surfaces, let it tack dry before joining both surfaces. Letting it tack dry first is very important in order to get maximum adhesiveness. I hope this solves your problem. All the best to you. Good luck.
