SOURCE: location of inertia switch/fuel pump

Yes it can. It doesn't take much like slamming a door or dropping a load of parts. There is only a magnetic ball inside the contacts and it is a wonder that Railroad tracks and Potholes do not trigger more shutoffs. All you do is find the switch and hold down the button on it for about 3 seconds.

Then try starting the van without slamming the doors shut until it is running. If the Inertia switch does not help check the fuse panel, then the relay. The relay should either be in the Black powerbox group or in with the fuseholders.

1995 ford festiva inertia switch location

Karl, Ford installs inertia switches in most fuel-injected vehicles.
In passenger cars, the switch is typically located in the trunk and is identifiable by the red button on its top. Switch could be behind a trim panel/ piece/door. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I don't think this vehicle is equipped with a fuel/inertia cut of switch. If there is one, your owners manual will give the location and reset procedure

My van was running fine till i went over bumps can this affect my fuel fillter in the tank

If the bumps were severe enough you might have tripped your fuel cut out inertia switch. This is designed to dis-engage the fuel pump in case of an accident. Your owners manual should point you in the location of the switch so as you can reset it. I am not familiar enough with the transit van to know the location myself, but you might try the passenger kick panel.
