the car will not rev above 1500. we tried a difference lock set for a car that drives perfectly but we still go did not get it right.
but if you bridge injector 1 with injector 4 just outside the ECU, the car drives but it smokes. this problem started when the car overheated and had the cylinder head gasket changed. your assistance in this regard is greatly appreciated, thank you

Measure the resistance of the faulty injector and compare it with a good one. If faulty replace it.

i have swopped the injector to different position, and the injector works. but it seems I have a problem with the injector position 1. all for injectors are working. its just that one position it doesn't work

Check the position sensor for an error.

I fitted a new engine in my ford focus 1.6 tdci it came complete with wiring loom but the loom fitted the ECU but it was wrong for the unit would this damage the ECU

If the wire harness (loom) were the correct one (from Ford?), it should have fit perfectly. If it's not a Ford or Motorcraft part, you probably should return it and get the correct part.

Mondeo tdci

hi there, you will need a diagnostic check carried out to locate the exact fault, most garages have the equipment to carry out these checks so you won't need to visit your ford agent, a common fault on the engines is the camshaft sensor these cost around £20 and are very easy to replace, however once you have it tested you will now your exact fault, hope this helps
