I am driving a 1997 Toyota Prado 3.4 L petrol Automatic. Engine cuts out.

Still in very good condition. Starting perfectly well but cuts out during driving. Unable to restart engine. Have to wait 30 minutes before starting again.

Hi
im assuming there are no lights on the dash.
If you remove both battery terminal wire and touch them together (Wires only)
that will reset any fault stored and reset the computer.
hopefully that will correct the fault.
Thanks

What sort of fuel consumption can i expect from a 2006 Toyota Prado 4LT petrol 6 speed manual

best at 10 liters per 100 klms , average around 12 liters /100 klms
fuel consumption depends largely on load , speed , operating conditions , towing, highway/city, off road so an exacting answer is not possible as it all depends on the operator and the driving skills

How to bypass engine immobiliser in 1997 toyota prado

Ho, just like that? Reuben, if it were easy or a clever way to disarm or bypass the **** thing, not only would thieves make it useless, but everybody would have created a website for it by now ! Last time I checked-nada. It is pretty complicated, far reaching (and very expensive to service), and just almost can't be done in the field-as far as bypassing it, at any rate.
Well that's just my opinion, anyway, but there should be a way to reset it. Are the engines identical? The Prado is not sold under that name in the US, is it a Corolla? If you typed into a search engine like Bing, either Prado or Toyota (or it's equivalent US counterpart), and "disarm or deactivate immobilizer" ...something like that, and see if you get good results. If you get it running, let me (us) know how it's done, good luck.

Does a 2004 prado have acam belt or a chain belt

Hi Waynee,
You forgot to say which engine is in your vehicle?
The HZ engine has timing gears and a timing belt (That's a diesel engine) the belt drives the injector pump
The KZ engine also has gears and a timing belt,. (Also a diesel engine) same as above.
The RZ engine uses just a timing belt (And that one is a petrol engine)
