3rd Brake light doesn't work on a 2005 Malibu Ls

The most common reason for the 3rd brake light not to work is mostly due to a blown bulb, some cars have two or three bulbs in the 3rd light, start by replacing the bulb and go from there. good day.

Brake lights dont work Bulbs are good and brake light switch is good

The power flow for the brake lights goes like this: Fuse ->Brake switch -> Turn signal switch -> Rear lights. The only difference is, if you have a 3rd brake light in your rear window, that gets its power directly from the brake switch. It does not go thru the signal switch first. So, if you are having a brake light problem, and your fuses are good, check the 3rd light in the rear window, if it lights up (assuming the bulbs are good, no one ever changes them), then the problem is most likely in the turn signal switch, hope this helps!

Signal lights don't work properly when brake is applied

The power flow for the brake lights goes like this: Fuse ->Brake switch -> Turn signal switch -> Rear lights. Look under the dash, on the brake pedal arm. There are one or two switches that activate brake lights and/or shift unlock. Check for loose mounting nut or a missing rubber nubber. Is the brake pedal coming all the way back up? Look on the floor for something not usually found there. These switches are adjustable and it may be as simple as adjusting them. Have a helper look for brake lights on and shift lever unlocked while you push and release the switches with your finger. Depress the brake pedal to get it out of the way. Remember to set the park brake first. Could just be a bad switch or loose connector. Check fuses and the bulbs. Is shifter fully in Park?

All this stuff runs thru the multi-function stalk. (the turn signal lever) It could be worn out.

Fthe tail light works but the brake light doesn't work, it probably is the module that has a circuit board. I have replaced it 2 or 3 times on my 2004 XL Envoy ... can I get a part number and location...

First let's determine which brake lights are not working. Does the high mounted brake light work? Do both left and right brake light not work? If none of the brake light work, the problem could be the brake light switch at the brake pedal OR fuse #12 in the underhood fuse panel.
If only the bake lights at the corner lamp assembly don't work, check fuse #34 in the rear fuse panel.
The module your are referring to is the circuit board located in each of the corner lamp assemblies, check on website www.compnine.com for the part number of this item. I don't believe this is your problem though.

Ford focus Brake Light Problem, The 2 side brake lights do not work and i have changed the bulbs, the one above the rear window works, A garage has advised me could be the brake light switch, Would this...

It does sound like brake light switch, some have separate circuits for 3rd brake light. One question for ya... do you have trailer hitch/wiring on the car. Sometimes trailer wiring will short out and give same symptoms.

No brake lights but 3rd light works all fuses are good

Sounds like a broken wire somewhere.
Since the middle brake light works I would suspect it is somewhere in the trunk or close to the back seat.
Buy or make a tester. A 12v light with a clip on one wire that you clip to a good ground on the car the other wire with a sharp point. Turn the turn signals on then poke wire to rear lights until tester lights. When tester lights you know the break is somewhere inbetween the tester and the brake lights.

Hope this helps.
