Question about Cars & Trucks

Open Question

Hi, has anyone ever had a problem with the front wheel? I just had a front hub shatter and all the spokes on one side of the wheel give out. I've never seen or heard of anything like it before?

SOURCE: Hi, has anyone ever had a problem with the front wheel? on a suzuki1400 Intruder? had a front hub shatter and all the spokes on one side of the wheel give out I've never seen anything like it before

send details and photos to the manufacturer engineering department ( address on the manufacturing web page ) and complain
there may be a recall on the wheel or it may be just a one off failure
if the wheel is non OEM equipment you will, have address the report to the wheel manufacturer instead
talk with your dealer service center about the issue

Yes, I had a problem with the front wheel ... on my Yard Man walk-behind 22" mower! The self propel feature wore all the tread off BOTH front wheels!

Roar on the right side

Its probably the left side, not only because you replaced the right side, but because it changes on right turns.
When you go into a right turn, the bearings on the left side are under more pressure and torque.
The front hub bearing goes bad more often than the axle bearing, so I would expect it to be the left front.

I cannot get the front tire off of my 2001 subaru forester

Not overly familiar with this car but usually not. They put a small amount of grease between the wheel and hub to avoid rust and it creates a vacuum almost like glue. Take a bar or your biggest screwdriver and pry on your wheel spoke for leverage as not to damage your disc or caliper It seems strange but it will pop off. My explored and Yukon do the same thing.

Have you checked the rear brakes? They can cause shaking just like the front can.

2003 Trailblazer, the front drivers side wheel locks up and won't turn more than half a turn forward then the same backward. Making a bad clunk noise if you try to force it by giving the truck more gas to...

It sounds like a problem within the front differential, possibly broken spider gears. If so broken gear shrapnel may be jamming that wheels output shaft.

It would depend on where the noise is coming from. A broken front hub lock can make that type of noise if the sound is coming from the front left or right side. If the sound is coming form the center of the truck I would suspect the drive chain in the transfer case is loose and hitting the inside of the case.
