Put new wireing in going to both back speakers, Factory wireing is verry thin end it breaks with age. Change it over to at least 16 guage speaker wire or 12 guage, Your system will sound a lot better.

New Alternator on 1994 Lexus, but battery loses charge

Did you ask the mechanic to change the alternator,or did you tell him to fix it? I would spell it out to the customer myself(not the service writer) that I would prefer to do the diagnosis, but if they didn't want to pay it,then there are no guarantees, and document this on the back of the repair ticket(saved me MANY future arguements!).If you told the mechanic to fix it,then take it back and say "Try again!".If you said "Replace the alternator" then that's what will be done.If you have no change after replacing the alternator, then you have to figure out what's not making it charge.Verify the large cable to the battery is good with a test light. The smaller connector requires a wiring diagram to diagnose, however.

Do you have to take the battery out of the car to change the sensor

Yep. Whenever you replace electronic parts on a vehicle, it is best to take off "both" battery cables until you replace the sensor, whichever one it is. The computer will reset and read the new stats on the sensor you replace, else which out it, it will still have the old settings for old sensor to go by the old settings which will be as though you didn't replace the sensor at all.

Ac blowing hot air

I've gone crazy fixing air-conditioners in cars. There is a control valve in the air conditioning system that often needs changing. I would suggest that as your next step because it is relatively cheap intervention. On my car they just changed the electronic command system costing $600. It didn't fix the problem. They then changed the valve ($125) and it did the trick. And finally, I once had a honda and they changed every piece of the ac. When that didn't work I searched the web which told me it was the button in the car. I had to change the whole heat ac control panel but I got a used one. Good luck and stay cool
