My old a3 1.8t just made loud bang an is now losing all oil from gearbox but still drives an selects gears what has broke??

I would start by inspecting under the vehicle to see where the oil is coming out. That should tell you what may have happened. Likely the gearbox is now cracked.

Loosing oil no leak no smoke coming from exhaust

there`s only 2 ways to lose oil. one is a leak somewhere from the motor the other is the motor is burning oil. just because you don`t see smoke doesn`t mean its not burning oil. you don`t say how much oil your losing between oil changes. if its only about 1/1.5 litres between oil changes then this is a normal lose which means its burning slightly.

Could a 2003 Nissan Sentra GXE with 84,500 miles on it have oil loss problems? My service engine light came on the other day and when I had it checked at Auto Zone they said it was my Catalytic Converter...

Catalytic converter works with emission gasses and had nada to to with oil consumption. People at Auto zone are
a-- holes and you should stay away from them.

Do you have an estimate for replacing the motor on a 2005 Nissan Altima? (Oil change place left oil drain plug lose, it fell out, burned up motor.)

rebuilt motor will run close to $3500 usd labor on that kind of vehicle should run no more than $1500 usd that's as close as i can give considering i don't know tax rates and such on where you live but norm should not be any more than that so all considered you looking at close to $5000

98 grand prix 3.8 non-supercharge starts but wont stay running have to keep foot on gas pedal to stay running blows out white some trough the exhaust. no coolant in oil what is causing this

If it is blowing thick white smoke that is coolant. You can lose a head gasket in places where only coolant passages go through so you don't always get oil/coolant mixing when this happens. Take the radiator cap off and see if air bubbles through it. You can also try pulling the spark plugs to see if one or more looks really clean.
