You will probably have to drill and tap the hole. Before you do this ... consider a helicoil repair. http://www.noblefix.com/helicoil.htm

Your mechanic should be familiar with this or similar product.

Detroit diesel injector installation

thoroughly clean area around injectors, and then blow with compressed air so no bits will fall in the holes when injectors removed.loosen main injector pipe nut, remove return fuel line, dont lose copper washers, put special fuel bolts back in top of injector firm[by hand] undo holding down bolts evenly, undo fully injector pipe nut,.gently pry injector loose, and remove, making sure sealing washer at bottom also comes out..while I dont specifically know this particular engine, this guide applies to most diesel motors.I have rebuilt a 6v72 detroit motor, yrs ago.Assembly is reversal.may need to crank over to bleed diesel at injector, always use new sealing washers.

I need help locating the top starter motor mount bolt. I have the bottom one removed and have all electrical disconnected, but I am stumped to find the top 64 mm bolt

Try to feel it with your fingers. It should be close to the starter itself. Unless somebody who have worked on that car before broke the head of the bolt.

How do I install a new windows motor- to include the cable drum (drivers side). The old motor burned up and the cable broke. Thanks Hans

You'll need to buy a new motor and regulator. You can go used or new, it's up to you. The regulator will include the cable.

- Remove the interior door trim,
- Disconnect the power cable from the window motor,
- Remove the window bump-stops (one at the front, one back),
- Remove the glass window from the regulator (two bolts),
- Slide the glass window out of the top of the door,
- Remove 3 nuts from the window motor,
- Remove all window regulator bolts,
- Slide the motor & regulator assembly out the top of the door.

- Mount your new motor to your new regulator,
- Install the new motor & regulator assembly in the reverse order.

Block and mounts

there are at least 2 bolts that hold mount to block maybe 3 but whatever, you need them all. if you got one broke off in the block you got to get it out, drill hole down center and use an easyout to get it out, and plenty of penatrant. now there is only one bolt and nut that holds mount to the frame , if thats broke, all you need is a new motor mount.
