Well, it could be many things. I had this happen to my buick lesabre recently, except it was misfire on number 1. I changed out the spark plugs and wires and that did the trick. If you know that your plugs and wires are still good, make sure that the plug wire is seated right on the plug end and the coil end. I had a friends car that said had this issue. The wire had came loose from vibrations. Also, just because the wire looks good on the outside, it could have a crack on the inside. So check over your number 5 wire...make sure it is nice and tightly seated. If it is, then it is time to replace your plugs and wires. I would recommend doing all of them and not just number 5. Because if one is on it way going out, the others and not far behind.

Well, the first thing one should check is the transmission fluid level. Add Dexron ATF to the transmission until full when the vehicle is at normal operating temperature after 30 or 40 minutes of driving.
Secondly, if the car's transmission hasn't been flushed and filled in 30,000 mi. it's recommended that you do so as normal maintenance. This service typically costs about $100 or so.
If the car only runs forward but not reverse, a solenoid may be plugged up with clutch dust, or it's shorted out and needs to be replaced. However, tearing down a transmission on a 2001 Cadillac Seville is rather expensive, in the thousands of dollars.
One might consider getting a good used transmission that has a guarantee on it and have it installed, or have the one in it rebuilt.
Good luck on this repair.

The MASS AIR FLOW sensor is located after the air cleaner, to the air hose that goes to the throttle body. When you find it ,you will know how to replace it. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
