Not always serious Roseanne, but needing attention. You attach a code reader to the vehicle and it displays P Codes. The code tells where the fault is.

What tools do I need to change brake pads on ford focus 2008

A few of these poster are making assumption's on what model 2008 Focus the question is directed. Actually on a Ford Focus S with a 2.0 liter the caliper is held on by 2 metric bolts.
I believe the caliper housing is held on by a 15 mm bolt, and you might need a 17mm to hold the caliper pins from spinning.
A 2008 Focus has no removable spring, just a spring plate that the brake pad rides in.
Remember to loosen the bleeder line with a 10mm when you compress the caliper to get rid of the excess fluid or take off the cap to the master cylinder, so the pressure will not damage the master cylinder. Make sure and clean the caliper slides with brake cleaner and lubricate them with a good non-petroleum base grease.

Where can I find the engine number of ford focus 2.0L 2008 model?

fords don't use engine numbers some people use the last 5 digits of the chassis number They use engine codes, same thing really. It located on the passengers side of the rocker cover on the side or near the top of the gearbox at the bell housing (where the flywheel is)

I need to fit towbar electrics to my Focus C Max 58 plate, where do I begin?

You can wire directly to the rear light wiring behind the trim carpets on both side, however you must use a bypass relay system on the indicator circuits as the flasher unit overloads and switches off if more that 1 extra lamps are connected. Best use a test lamp to check which wire does what.

Ford focus

It could be an engine mapping problem. There should be a fault code generated by this incident.Take your car to a ford dealer to have it checked out. No engine = difficult steering and next to no brakes, not nice.
