Bosch R 10 spark plug gap?

You really need to look up the answer from your vehicle manufacturer.
Average gap for most vehicles is 35 to 45 thousands of an inch or .8 to .9mm Your spec may be different.It.s the application that specs the gap,not just the plug number.
ALWAYS use anti-seize on spark plug threads going into aluminum heads!

Got Bosch HR7DCX+ spark plugs for my 98 VS Supercharged V6 Statesman, what is the correct Gap size?

I can't tell you the correct gap but I thought I would mention it is best to use the gap the plug manufacturer suggests rather than the vehicle manufacturer. Sometimes they are different.

You will probably find a Bosch spark plug application catalogue on the net and this should provide the gap specification.

Stock replacement Bosch or NGK plugs are pregapped so they don't need to be gapped. Gaps are usually .035 if its a single electrode...Where you buy your pluge can tell you for sure.

Spark plug gap for ford focus 1.6 with bosch hr78nx plugs

Dear god. none of you sound like you know what your doing.
The Bosch HR 78 NX spark plug is a super 4 plug that has 4 outer ground electrodes and uses surface air gap technology.

There is no need to mess about gapping the plugs as they are Factory pre-gapped electrodes.
  • Higher ignition reliability thanks to eight possible ignition gaps
  • Self-cleaning thanks to surface air-gap technology
  • Increased thermal range: up to three times as many cold starts possible as with conventional spark plugs
So don't mess about gapping your super 4 Bosch, Just fit them.

What is the spark plug gap for a 1996 Ford Ranger 3.0? When purchasing the plugs I was informed it was .44. but I am getting a slight back fire when engine is running.

0.042-0.046 is the correct gap for your spark plugs,If it is backfiring now and was not before make sure you were not sold platinum bosch plugs and if you are using factory plugs, then I be looking for a faulty spark plug. Also make sure the firing order is correct.ramundoo_2.gif
