Do it Yourself: How leaving the tires as new tires

This Do it yourself is simple.

As we all know with time the tires lose color, brightness, etc... and are "pretty" only when they are wet, but when they dry and return to be "ugly".

Well, with the following "trick" you can have as new tires for a couple of weeks, that they do in stores for cleaning car by hand, but if they ask as they do to make the tires so bright, do not be want to tell the secret!

We need:
· 250ml. Glyceril pure liquid.
· 750ml. of water.
· Without using a brush.
· An empty 1 liter.
· A mop.
· A cube.
· Soap and water.

First we have to clean the tires with a mop, giving it with soap and water that have previously poured into a bucket, this will remove any dirt on the tires.

Let dry, then in a pot of 1 liter of capacity put 250ml. Glycerin pure liquid, you can get at the pharmacy or cleaning, and also get 750ml. distilled water (without chlorine), that you can achieve in the department stores, supermarkets, etc... water air-conditioning, or even if full the carafe of water and let no stopper for a couple of days, but you can also use tap water directly, although it would not be yours... but nor anything happen.

Once water and glycerin into the pot, mix it well, and let the brush to apply the liquid in the tires, just in theface you see (the rim), do not apply in the party who has contact with the ground, as they could grab less tires or skate.

Once applied either with the brush (try not produce fluids in the tires), let them dry and away you go.

The glycerin is an oil very low density, so it is not sticky and the refore will not stay stuck in the muck tires like some cleaning products for tires, or if make the old method of coca-cola or water with sugar.

The result is that the tires seem that they are always wet, because of their brightness, set with the brightness difference between the front and the inside...

Good luck.

I have a 2001 chrysler 300m and the power steering fluid is running out and my steering wheel is locked. How can i figure out where its coming from?

The quickest solution I can think of would be to add some AT205. AT205 is a glycerin based seal swell product. I have used it in a leaky power steering pump in the past and it stopped the leak in 1 day - and I was using a gallon of fluid a month!! It can be used anywhere EXCEPT the brake system. It is made by the ATP company - you should be able to find a dealer near you with this info. try the ATP website ( I think they have a dealer locator function ) . If it doesn't fix the leak, you'll need to change the pump out. I hope this helps!
p.s. I do not have holdings or any financial stake in the company, nor do I represent them in any way. The product works fantastically and just want to help you however I can! It is kind of expensive ( $15.00 per pint, or thereabout.) but it is cheaper than a new pump!!

Diesel engine is skipping. At higher speeds the whole truck shakes from the motor skipping. I changed the fuel filter and added a water prevenative to fuel. Improved but still is bad at higher speed. Is...

Check your fuel filter they have water seperators built in and a drain petcock on the bottom. Put a bucket or something to catch fuel underneath and open the drain to allow the filter to empty. I'd recommend replacing the filter between 90 days and 6 months and try adding some diesel kleen additive this works exceptionally well in the winter months. As long as the cylinders aren't misfirng you may have some restricted injectores. I have a fleet of diesel trucks and that is 90% of my problem with them. Especially if you use an auxillary or day tank to fill up from as moisture can seep in through the vent cap

Just purchased f-150 24,000 miles

These are just the new version of under coating ( from the 70s ), just another revenue generator.
Paint sealer you can do something like Liquid Glass ( after preping the paint to make sure it is clean ) and the interior you can do yourself if you want to with 3M fabric protector.
Either of these is not a one time application, even thought the dealer will sell it as such. Try a local detailing shop if you really want this type of application. They will tell you it is not a one time thing, and they are not doing this to get you back every xx months, they are telling you the truth about it. Even Liquid Glass will wear off after time and conditions. It just won't melt off in ~65 days like regular wax will. There are other options to Liquid Glass in the synthetic "wax" lines if you don't want to go that route.

Having a problem boosting a 93 ford diesel 1 ton that has been sitting over the winter months.

Remove plugs add a some liquid wrench, let set for a few days. They try starting, if it starts, it will smoke until liquid wrench is burned off, valves have stuck. If you ever store a vehicle for any length of time take out plugs add some light oil, replace plugs, remove distributor wire, turn engine over several times.
