SOURCE: The cigarette lighter on my 1995 Toyota Corolla does not work. The radio works fine. The problem started after I used an air compressor to inflate my tires. The air compressor attaches to the cigar

On the back side of the lighter there is a fusable link between the incoming power wire and the metal tab that connects power to the lighter. This is a very small wire, bent 90 degrees, between two tabs that are mounted on the same small screw. It looks like the incoming power tab and the power to the lighter would be connected, but they are insulated from each other on the screw. If the fusable link is blown, you will have power at the power connector on the back of the lighter, but no power to the center terminal inside the lighter.

00Linc ls tires P235-50R -17 running 40PSI LABEL IN DOOR SPEC 30PSI . Would like to no what to do don't want to damage tire.

because it is a low profile tire with a wide tread , the 30 psi is a recommended pressure for a standard size tire
however at 30 psi you will probably find that it will wear with an under inflated wear pattern and the 40 psi is used to sit the tread flat on the road
best talk with a good tire shop as they have experience and reports form a vast range of customers who talk about the pressures they run to get the best wear from the tires
the tires I run are standard and the recommended pressure is 32 psi but the make of tire actually runs best on 38 psi and that comes from the tire manufacturer

Used cigarette lighter to inflate tire, left inflater on for a long time now cigarette lighter doesn't work and car doesn't always start

It sounds like you might have drained your battery! When the car is running does the Cigarette lighter produce power? It should be working while the car is running. That would also explain why the car starts sporadically. Try leaving the car on for 40 minutes. That might charge the battery enough.

Mileage dropped 5 miles per gallon

Go to a site like the TireRack.com or DiscountTires.com and look up your brand of tire. Look for the Rolling Resistance specs and compare your new tires to the old tires.

Sometimes you get "bargain" tires which are not the optional upgrades. These bargains may be undersize or smaller than your optional originals.
There are differences in width, but more important is the sidewall series.

A 70 series is larger than a 65 or 60 series. Your optional tire could have been a 70 and using a 65 will be a smaller tire if the width is the same.

Tire composition and material reflect in the rolling resistance.

Under inflation-many tire stores use less air to give the tire a better ride. Check your pressure, the label on the doorjam and raise the pressure,
usually to under 3 or 4 lbs the stated maximum on the tire.

Check air filter and any hose fittings that may have been disturbed by the oil change. Temperature, gasoline, and driving habits can affect gas mileage. Sometimes a locking gas cap helps too.

Please rate my info.

Noise when the car is at speeds above 40mph. kind of a waaa waaa waa noise.07 Compass 2weel drive. has 70,000miles and has used two set of tires, drives straight, tires wear straight but in the center.

if tires are wearing in the center it says that they are over inflated, the noise you hear could be tire tread hum or it could be front wheel bearing hard to tell without actually seeing your tires.

Removing rear air suspension on GMC Envoy

Just behind right rear tire up in the wheel well. Air inlet is inside right rear quarter near the accessory inflator. Compressor runs 3 lines one for the accessory inflator and one for each air bag.
THere are also 2 sensors, one on each trailing arm that senses load and then raises and lowers accordingly.

Excessive tire wear, 29000 miles. Tires are cuping out and roaring. Tire dealer (Goodyear) said it was alignment. The truck always drove perfect.but I had it aligned anyway and noise is unbearable! 2008...

I am not sure I can help you much, I have bought, sold, used and abused tires all my life so I will try to help... First if you bought big aggressive tires that look cool, don't expect them not to make noise. Second, if you have ever run them underinflated and the cupping and adverse wear has started the only thing that may help reduce but not eliminate noise it is tire rotation.... Third aggressive tread is always noisy... And gets noisier with age. You have already aligned the truck, that is a step in the right direction. Keep tires properly inflated and rotate them often to square tread back up. Once cupping is minimised noise should go down. Just so you know I have learned about tire through a lot of personal experience. Don't by an aggressive tread if 98% of the time you or on the highway for the once or twice you may go off road... It's not worth it...

Mine does same thing. 1990 Continental

the compressor sits under the fender and is held in place by 4 rubber mounts to lower noise, sounds like the leak is in one of the valves at the top of the strut ? if you like this car the perment fix is to by a kit from strutmasters .com and replace all 4 air bags and it will ride like the old pre 90s cont , good luck p.s this is about $1,200 ouch

1990 Lexus LS 400 Right Front Suspention Thud Noise

most probably a torn lower suspension arm rubber bush that would not show up if the car was on a 4 post hoist
there is a problem there as the noise would not be evident if there was nothing wrong
different tire pressures will give different noise when hit with a tire lever ( a trick used by truck drivers to check for flat/ under inflated tires
good tire solid sound
low pressure tire a dull sound
