The voltage regulator is not working as the charge rate has to be at 14.5-14.8 volts dc
take it to an accredited auto electrician to have it tested properly

SOURCE: no charge to battery

IN ORDER:
Check the 120amp Alternator Fusible link#13 (for 2002 model) located in the fusible link block. (Note: a fusible link is a properly sized piece of wire that is designed to provide major protection when a short occurs) as regular fuses provide minor issue protection.

Check the 5amp ALT-S fuse as this directly affects charging.

Lastly check the 10amp IG2 fuse.

You may find that you have now have a spare alternator (your orginal that was ok) OR You can always sell it on ebay or craigslist.

SOURCE: audi a4 alternator not charging battery--test

With volt meter on battery start car and read voltage. When yo first put the meter on a full charged battery it should read between 13-15 volts. When you first start motor the voltage should go 3-4volts higher then when you first put it on. And then tapper down after awhile. If there is no voltage increase after start alternator is out.

When I connect the battery the blinkers come on constantly glowing, nothing else works, check the fuses, the alternator fuse is blown, replace that, connect the battery fuse blows again. 2007 solara.

Bad alternator or short in alternator wiring. You much need a wiring diagram. Is that the car? Was in an accident? You may have pinched wiring or a wire shorted to ground. Try new fuse with alternator disconnected, then with key on, connect alternator-watch for sparks, or clicks, -you might want to have the alternator tested, just to be sure. You have to start somewhere...
Maybe a wiring short in the blinker system? Or is the fuse blowing an alternator fuse?

My 2002 toyota solara just shut down while driving and hasnt started up since changed my starter and all it does is click when i turn the key over

In my experience, clicking is usually a battery problem. I suggest taking the battery to your local auto parts store and having it tested to determine if it is okay or not.

Toyota in line fuse from alternator

is this a question?
does it have one.?
or a fuse?
or a fusable link?

the answer is that it does have one, what kind varies.
my wild guess, is you have alternator dead????? just clue here helps.
the main Alternator charging wire (huge) goes to the fender
fuse box and there is fuse there.
if you just look at the wire, and follow it to the, box open the
lid its right there, Charge fuse. 60 or more amps , IIRC.
all this is covered in the FSM , under Charging system
and at alldata.com

always remove the battery neg lug
when removing any alternator
or you WILL blow this fuse. or worse.

Go to Autozone and have them test your battery and alternator, make sure cable from positive battery cable to starter is tight and negative cable is tight at other end and battery terminals are clean and tight.could be a dead cell or alternator is over charging..

While driving engine quit lights out all power off then came back on

Thats a strange one. Even a loose battery cable should not cause that if the engine is running. The engine would have continued to run off of the alternator. The only thing that makes sense to me is that something BIG possibly shorted out - like maybe the alternator or starter. I would recommend scanning your computer network for possible fault codes (there should at least be codes for loss of battery power stored in some of the modules). Also, have your starting and charging systems thoroughly tested.

Car won't start either battery or alternator issue

Can you jump it? If yes, test voltage at battery while running. Voltage should be 14-15 volts DC. If lower, replace alternator. See my tips at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5821173-doesnt_car_start_gasoline_engines

My 2006 toyota solara will not start

May be a battery problem, i've seen bad batteries with green eye. the first thing to do is have the battery and the charging system checked, this sounds like it could be a battery problem or bad connections at the battery, if for some reason everything is good then have the starter checked. hope this helps.

Changed altenator and now brake and battery warning lights staying on

Double check to make sure that the alternator they installed is the correct one for the vehicle. Also hopefully someone load tested the battery before condemning the alternator. The wiring behind the alternator should be inspected for corrosion and looseness.
With regards to brake lite, either there is something wrong with the system or the warning lite switch is grounding out. Either way its serious A technician should inspect the conventional brake system for leaks and wear.

Battery dying

No the alternator won't keep it running on a Toyota, the system is wired much different than most cars, found this out the hard way on same type of car. Test the alternator, raise the idle up to 1500 RPM turn on everything in the car, lites on high beam, ac blower on high, everything, voltage at battery should not be less than about 13.5 volts and not more than 14.7 volts, (clean battery cables first) if all that checks out you have a draw in the system, most common source is the glove box lite or trunk lite, on rare occasions a bad isolation diode in the alternator can cause a voltage draw, another test is to pull off the positive battery battery cable at night and lightly touch it to the battery post, if you see any faint spark there is a draw somewhere in the system, these types of issues can be heck to find, but not always, check what I said to. And last but not least clean the battery cables thoroughly, get a battery brush tool from parts store they are cheap, neutralize any acid with a solution of baking soda and warm tap water.
