If you let gas in it over winter the carb is probably gummed up.tear it apart and clean it up and remove the jet and poke a bread tie thrue it. Blow air thrue it before putting it back together.

If it turns, then the battery is OK. Either spark plugs are not firing in proper order (wrong firing order), no power to spark plugs, or no fuel because of fuel restrictions (dirty fuel filter). Inspect the air filter to ascertain its not clogged air. If you smell gas, then you saturated the spark plugs, which is why it refuses to run.
Let it sit for half hour to let spark plugs dry. Inspect to ascertain its not dirty spark plugs, which will also prevent engine from running. After ascertaining its proper firing order, spark plugs are clean, and there's power to distributor cap, ascertain there's fuel in fuel lines by squirting half second (short squirt) of starting fluid into air filter. Close the air filter housing to trap flammable starting fluid gas. Turn engine without giving throttle. Let starting fluid be ignited by spark plugs. If it won't start, then spark plugs are not firing to ignite starting fluid gas. If it starts briefly, but won't run when you give throttle, but catches when a 2nd person squirts more starting fluid into air filter just before engine stalls, then its a fuel restriction issue or no fuel in fuel lines.

I bought an 89 dodge spirit, and it wont keep the battery charged has had multiple new batteries put into it and it also stalls every time its put into gear what could be the problem

Most probably, the AIC stepper motor is bad, one way to kno, is when the engine slows at idle when you swithc on the air conditioner, and the Idle automatioc control does not correct the RPM dropping from the increased load. An engien that does not maintain correct and stable idle cannot maintain the battery charged, but it could have multiple issues.

I have Acura Legent 1991. I'haven't use it for 6 years now, what should i do if i want to use it again?

Definitely check all fluids. Add any that are low. Replace oil & filter, replace air filter, replace fuel filter if it's easily accessible, add a gas treatment like Lucas gas treatment and then fill tank with new gas. (That should avoid any bad gas issues.)

It would probably be a good idea to replace plugs and wires, or replace them soon after getting it going. Check belt and replace if it's beginning to crack from dry rotting. Check tire pressure, etc. Do those things and be sure your battery has a good charge and you should be good to go!

I just started a 1979 K5 Blazer after it was parked for 9 years without being started. I added new gas and gas treatment, changed the oil, added power steering fluid and a little trans fluid bc both were low, and replaced the air filter. Fired right up and haven't had an issue yet.

Good luck!

93 Honda has problem starting in cool fall mornings. New battery. Engine cranks but will only want to fire up half heartedly. I had to pump the gas pedal many times before it fires up. Please guide me on...

You may want to do a tune up on it. Gas filter is a start. Plugs and plug wires. Also air filter. These are the three minor things at cost but are the major part of what you need to make you car run. Fuel, Air and Fire. These are a start if you haven't already.

My car will turn over till the battery dies but will not start. when it is trying to start air comes out the tail pipe but it smells like gas and i can take off the oil filler cap and it smells like gas....

Sounds like it is getting plenty of gas. First off check to see if the fuel regulator is bad either with a pressure gauge or pull the vacume line off and see if gas is seeping out, if it is theres your problem. Replace it. Pull out the plugs and let it set overnight and evaporate the gas in the cylinders. In that time get the battery to full charge. Put new plugs in it and it should start. Do not drive the car with all of that gas in the oil. It will wash the bearings and ruin the engine. CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER. This is just a start and most common problem with these

DPUT BAD GAS IN MY CAR AND NOW IT IS GIVING MEPUT

You may have to replace your spark plugs. I recommend you remove two or more plugs and check them for carbon build-up that would prevent a good spark. Also check your air filter, if these dont solve your problem you may need to replace your fuel filter which should be located inside the drivers side frame rail.
