SOURCE: Headlight problem

Yeah,

There was a relay between the headlight selector switch and the dip/high beam stepper relay which was not on the circuit diagram.
Its a bit difficult to access and is right under the dash on the far left above the fuse panel (British right hand drive type).
The multi spade connector (5 terminals) had been intermittent and overheating for some time. I cut off the connector and soldered all connections to the relay.
The 240SE is back to its reliable self.

SOURCE: how do i replace a nissan murano stepper motor?

The stepper motor is not replaceable on this auto. The ECM and crank sensor controll the idle process for this Nissan. First change your crank position sensor you know the cars computer is ok. This is where i would start. Once this has been accomplished if this did not fix your problem.please return and ask me for me and i will go threw the Idle Air Relearning Process with you. I REPEAT DO NOT DO A RELEARN PROCESS WITH THIS FAULTY CRANK SENSOR ENGINE CAN RACE OUT OF CONTROL DAMAGING YOUR ENGINE AND FRYING YOUR ECM WITH OVER VOLTAGE> Your crank sensor is picking up the wrong signals telling the engine it is rotating at a completely different RPM is what is wrong and that is the reason for the radical RPM and transmission shifts. THe trans is programmed to shift at certain RPMs but it cant change right because the crank sensor it telling it it is at 1100 rpm and its really at 2200 rpm. it is simple computer network failure. Change this and get back to me if you have any other questions

My speedometer on my 2005 Buick rendezvous starts off on zero and then shoots up to 110 when I am at a complete stop. I have changed the speed sensor module and checked the fuses. What else could it b

What module did you replace ? Was the vehicle transmission shifting OK ? The gauge is controlled by a stepper motor inside the instrument cluster , GM had bad stepper motors 03 to 06 .That is probably your problem .

Speedometer
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the vehicle speed as determined by the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM). The ECM/PCM converts the data from the vehicle speed sensor to a 4,000 pulses/mile signal. The IPC uses the vehicle speed signal circuit (4,000 pulses/mile), class 2 message from the ECM/PCM in order to calculate the vehicle speed. If the IPC detects a malfunction in the vehicle speed signal circuit from the ECM/PCM, the IPC uses the class 2 message from the EBCM, indicating the vehicle speed as a backup. If the speedometer reaches (108 mph) the fuel will shut-off, and it will turn back ON when the speedometer is at (106 mph). The speedometer displays either miles or kilometers as requested by the activation of the english/metric button on the driver information center (DIC). The associated indicator (km/h or mph) illuminates.

Which speed sensor affects the speedometer on 05 trailblazer

It's probably not the VSS - vehicle speed sensor . Does the vehicle shift ok , run good ? The VSS is a input to the PCM - engine computer ,an use's speed info for shift points, fuel control info ,an some other thing's as well . The PCM share's this info over the class 2 serial data bus ! Google GM class 2 serial data bus communication network . GM back in that time had an issue with stepper motor's inside the instrument cluster . Watch this video ! How do I check and replace engine oil sensor.

Knowing how these gauges work , I'd say you have an instrument cluster problem not oil sender unit. 2003 - 2006 GM had bad stepper motors in the instrument cluster . If there was a problem with the oil sender the gauge would default to zero .
Engine Oil Pressure Gage
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the engine oil pressure as determined by the powertrain control module (PCM). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the engine oil pressure. The engine oil pressure gage defaults to 0 kPa (0 psi) or below if:
?€¢
The PCM detects a malfunction in the engine oil pressure sensor circuit.

?€¢
The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM.

I replaced iac sensor and it still shows bad.

Have to check powers and ground curcuit.

Idle Air Control Motor Circuit Malfunction Possible Causes Setting Conditions • Stepper motor connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and moisture) • Stepper motor Coil 1, 2, 3 or 4 circuit is open or shorted to ground • Stepper motor coil circuit(s) is shorted to voltage • Stepper motor has failed • PCM has failed Engine running; system voltage over 11.5v, and the PCM detected an incorrect voltage on one or more of the IAC motor circuits for 2.75 seconds with the motor enabled.

I answered that--- but there is also a stepper motors
that make your gauges move

For that--- their is lots of good video on You Tube, that
shows how to replace them & where to get the parts

I would do that repair myself, to save money & poor
work or being over sold something you don't need

Oil pressure gauge is ready zero in 2003 2500hd 8.1 liter

Hello, this problem is due to a failing stepper motor. The stepper motor is the motor behind the gauge that controls the movement of the needle. When a stepper motor begins to go out it will cause the gauge needle to stick, skip around, stay at zero or max out on the gauge. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the stepper motor with a new one. While replacing one motor it is best to go ahead and replace them all as the others will go out in time as well. Your cluster will have one motor for each gauge. Here's a link to a page showing exactly how to replace a GM stepper motor and where to get the correct parts to do the job! My service engine light is on. and I took it too autozone to be checked and got the results: Large vacuum leak on engine, 2. throttle body condition-dirty and faulty IAC valve/throttle. what does this...

These are all things that can affect your gas mileage and engine performance.

To check for vacuum leak, look for unhooked hoses on top of engine. If OK, use starter fluid and spray along intake manifold gaskets with engine running. If engine speeds up, there is a leaking gasket.

IAC deals with idle. Does the car idle smoothly? If not, remove IAC to see if it's dirty. I will paste instructions below for the IAC valve.

Throttle body dirty--what code is this? never heard of such a code, but you can clean the throttle body wioth carb cleaner. I will paste instructions below.

IAC valve info:

Operation The amount of air taken in during idling is regulated by the opening and closing of the servo valve located in the air passage that bypasses the throttle valve. The servo valve is opened or closed by the activation of the stepper motor (incorporated within the idle air control motor in the forward or reverse direction. Battery positive voltage is supplied, by way of the MFI relay, to the coil of the stepper motor. The engine control module switches ON the power transistors (located within the engine control module) in sequential order, and, when current flows to the stepper motor coil, the stepper motor is activated in the forward or reverse direction.

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the electrical connector at the sensor.
  3. Remove the sensor from the throttle body.
To install:
  1. Install the sensor in the opening in the throttle body and tighten the sensor.
  2. Attach the electrical connector to the sensor.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.

Testing
Checking Coil Resistance

  1. Disconnect the idle air control motor connector and connect the jumper (test harness).
  2. Measure the resistance between terminal (2) of the connector at the idle air control motor side and terminal (1) or terminal (3). Standard value: 28-33 ohms at 68°F
  3. Measure the resistance between terminal (5) of the connector at the idle air control motor side and terminal (6) or terminal (4). Standard value: 28-33 ohms at 68°F
  4. If not within specifications, replace the IAC Valve.
  5. If within specifications, check connectors and wiring between the sensor and ECM/PCM.
Checking Operation Sound
  1. Check that the operating sound of the stepper motor can be heard over the idle air control motor when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position (without starting the engine).
  2. If no operating sound can be heard, check the stepper motor drive circuit. (If the circuit is good, a defective stepper motor or engine control module is suspected.)

IAC picture--mounted on top side of engine.
Throttle body--loosten clamp to right of throttle body and pull hose off. Use electric parts cleaner or carb cleaner--spray on dirt with engine running. don't touch any sensors inside throttle body--sensors are delicate.
