My Nissan Maxima 2009 wont accelerate even though I step the gas pedal to the floor? what should I do??

There are times that it does work but then it slows down and wont accelerate. I have already replaced the gas pedal sensor. So what should I do now?

too serious a problem to let go un-diagnosed
pop into the service center for assessment

is the engine light on
that model has an electronic gas pedal sensor
I would start there

then if motor revs a lot and not go forward as it should
a transmission fault

Most likely has to come out & apart

It is a transaxle with ten years on it,some don't last

Nissan maxima has check engine light on and is losing acceleration on the road.

If this is a deisel then it's probably some sensor malfunction. It could be one of the sensors in the exhaust system or a simple electrical fault - I have been told it can happen if even just one brake-light bulb is broken

I ran out of gas in my 91 maxima and it cranks but it just wont turn over and start is it the fuel pump or an electrical thing

if its a stick/manual,push start it,if its auto, crank it but dont step on the accelerator, sometimes,u can flood the engine when u put fuel in and u crank with your foot on the gas pedal.follow your air filter all the way to the carbuerator, open it and then crank,be careful,u might get a flash bang from all the air flow, good luck

I have a 2009 nissan maxima and was accelerating today and my air conditioner stopped working. Can someone tell me what happened?

As a 2009, it should still be under Manufacturer Warranty, even if purchased Privately, or from a Used car dealer.
