Why does my 2006 commander rear brake grab when turning?

hi, if the grab is while braking, there may be an uneven piston to pad/drum wear or adjustment -- check brake assembly and pressure equalizers on the lines -- they put equal hydrolic pressure to both wheels - if one is bad, that will also cause problem of grab

I need to know if a brake line Junction Block is the same as a proportioning valve?

no a brake line junction block will give all of the brakes equal pressure and wear the back brakes out faster then the front if your car is not made for it a proportioning valve monitors the pressure on each brake and distributes it accordingly

2005 GMC Envoy, no brake fluid is getting to the right front caliper. disconnected the brake line where the rubber line and the metal line are attached, pumped brakes and get absolutely no fluid through...

You may have a defective line on the right front brake. GM had a batch of bad lines installed on several year models. I had one collapse on mine with the caliper closed and burned my caliper, rotor and pads. Try to disconnect the metal line further back at the equalizer and see if you get fluid there. If you do replace line.

1997 ford escort brake line diagram

The LF and RR are in an independent circuit of the RF, LR wheels. The master cylinder already has the lines hooked up in a way that if you trace the lines, you can make your own diagram.

Back brackes locked up

you have one of two problems.. either your equalizer valve is hungup and keeping the brakes locked or the master cylinder has a piston boot blown and reversed one way is too crack the line going to the rear at the equalizer valve and see if they back off the other is to crack opn the line at the master cylinder

Ok I have a 98 grand am and I need to know which brake line on the master cylinder is the rear driver side line?

the two brake lines coming out the master cylinder are one line for front brakes and one line for rear brakes,
then the go into a equalizer splitter,or if you have ABS it will split them there,it will come out one line for each wheel

On most vehicles, the left and right parking brake cables come together and are attached to a lever linkage called an "equalizer" yoke under the vehicle. The equalizer yoke balances, or equalizes, the amount of force that is applied to both cables when the parking brake is applied. The equalizer linkage, in turn, is connected to a single cable that runs to the parking brake lever or pedal. An adjustment screw may be located on the front cable where it connects to the equalizer, or where the cable attaches to the parking brake lever. The point is to tighten the cable. Look for an adjustment screw.
