Just about all power pack -boosters use a trickle charger to recharge them and they dont have the amperage or the wire size to boost a vehicle

1994 toyota 4runner no vacum to brake powerbooster

The check-valve could be bad or the vacuum hose from the manifold could be blocked.Did you pull the hose out of the booster and start the engine to see if vacuum is there? How did you know there's no vacuum? Some times the check-valve is in the hose and some times it is in the booster.

Battery dead no trunk access 2001 Lincoln LS how to jump start car

locate your starter motor. There you will find a thick single core cable (usually bolted onto solenoid).Get a fully charged battery and jumper leads.Connect negative lead to ground(any unpainted metal surface on chasis) or engine.Connect the positive clip to the stud described earlier. If you connect the other ends to the booster battery you should get enough power to open the trunk and then jump start the dead battery normally. If there seems to be no power in the circuits use the battery of a car with its engine running as a booster instead of a standalone battery.

How do i jump my 1997 dodge stratus

  • Ensure your Stratus's ignition is in the "Off" position, and turn off anything that uses battery power, such as lights, radio and heater blower. Park the booster car close enough to the dead car that you can connect the jumper cables to both batteries, but make sure the two vehicles aren't touching. Connect one red (+) clamp of the cables to the booster battery's positive terminal. Connect the other red clamp to the Stratus' "Remote Terminal." The terminal is located next to the air filter assembly, and is marked with a "+" and the word "Positive." Dodge uses these remote terminals to reduce the risk of explosion caused by sparks near the battery. Connect one of the black (-) cable clamps to the negative terminal on the booster battery. Connect the other black clamp to the negative "Remote Terminal" on the Stratus, located on the opposite side of the air filter assembly from the positive terminal. It is a marked with a "-" and the word "Negative."Start the booster car, if not already running, and apply slight pressure to the gas pedal to make it idle faster. Wait a few minutes and attempt to start the Stratus. If it cranks a little, but still won't start, continue charging the battery. Once the Stratus starts, leave it running and disconnect the jumper cables in reverse order of the way you attached them.

My key was stuck in the ACC iI could move it foward but not back. I just learned that there is a botton where i can release the key from underneth. After leaving in the keys in my car over night I came to...

You may have to charge the battery for quite a while for there to be enough power to crank the starter AND power up all the computers AND run the fuel pump AND have enough left over after all that to operate the injectors and spark plugs. Later model cars don't jump start as easilly as older cars.

I forgot to turn off the lights in my car. What can I do to start the car running? Do I need to replace the battery?

You can either jump the battery, or remove the battery from the car and bring it to your local repair shop to have it charged and tested, (a lot of auto supply stores will do this for free so call around), or you can jump start your battery and hope it holds a charge.

To jump a battery you will need a set of jumper cables and a second car, or a battery booster pack, (nice investment, they really are handy in a jam).

To jump a car with jumper cables:
    ******* Always where eye protection*********
    1) Open the hood on the dead car and locate the battery.
    2) Park the second car as close to the front of the dead car as possible, (just try to leave enough room to walk around the vehicles if you can).
    3) Open the hood on the second car and locate the battery.
    4) Attach the red, (positive) cable clamp to the Positive, (+) terminal of the battery on both cars.
    5) Connect the black, (negative) cable clamp to the negative, (-) terminal of the battery of both vehicles.
    6) With the second car running leave the vehicle to sit for about 5 minutes then attempt to start the dead vehicle.
    7) If vehicle fails to start, wiggle the cable clamps to create a better connection.
    8) If vehicle starts, remove the cable clamps negative first then the positive.
    9) You may consider bringing the vehicle to your local auto supply to have the battery load tested once the car has run for a while, (most auto supply stores will do this for free so call around)

Using a booster pack is basically the same, except, you replace the second car with the booster pack. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging the booster pack before use.

    Good luck. Please rate, thanks.

How can i start the audi becuse the battery is dad

You could try to 'jump-start' with a booster cable.
Connect one end of the negative cable of the booster-battery to its negative terminal, and connect the other negative end of the booster-battery to the engine block (ground).
If booster battery is not maintenance free, you must take off their top caps.
Connect each ends of the positive booster-cable to the positive ends of each battery.
Start the car with good battery first, then start the Audi.
If the Audi fails to start after about 20-minutes, it means that its battery needs to be removed and charged with battery-charger, or a new one put in its place.

If the Audi has a standard transmission, you could have helpers push it, and apply the 2nd gear once it starts rolling.
    The engine should fire up.
If it fails to fire up, have the dead battery replaced or re-charged.

This is hard as it is my daughters suv far away and she is being told the brake system has a leak in the power booster bladder.A fix of 450.00 that she does not have. I seem to recall a check valve problem...

The check valve is the plastic connector that the vacuum line connects to the brake vacuum booster with. An alternative is to get a used booster from a salvage yard, it would be about 1/3 the price of a repair of the leaking one.
