The crank sensor is on the front of your engine behind the harmonic balancer. You will need a balancer puller for a 3.8 and a crank sensor alignment tool to do this lob.

First, do you have the tools to do the job? You need a jack, jack stands, a breaker bar, a cheater bar( long piece of pipe), ratchets and sockets, wrenches, pry bars/long screw drivers and a gear puller for the balancer. Maybe access to air impact guns. Sizes need to be from 10 mm to 22 mm. Let me know, I will tell you what to do.
