Question about Oldsmobile Cars & Trucks
The first thing we noticed was when making a sharp turn it was hopping. Bought a transfer case and right before I switched it out the engine sounded like it had a miss. I went ahead and changed the transfer case and that fixed the hopping problem. It still had the miss. I changed the spark plugs which changed nothing, still a miss. Went back and double checked the gap in plugs and it was all right. No change. Put it on handheld scanner and it said it was miss firing. Took the tailpipe loose and beat a bunch of stuff out of the catalytic convertor and put it back together and still the same rough running with a miss plus the catalytic converter is red hot after another 5-10 minutes.
