SOURCE: dodge magnum gear shift

I had the same problem. The interlock was not the problem. I had the shifter replaced (at my own expense because drive train warranty would not cover). After examining the old shifter discovered source of problem is a plastic cam on the front of ths shifter. A tiny PLASTIC ear which connects to a small spring had broken off. I repaired this by putting in a small screw where the ear had been. Incidentally, my tow truck driver had also seen the same problem on several Chrysler 300s. In my estimation this is a poor design on Chrysler's part.

SOURCE: 1996 dodge intrepid 3.3 transmission wont shiftout of first gear

two issues here. this may be a low fluid issue. i would check the level of the fluid first. the next issue could be a blown shift solenoid. these are located inside of the transmission pan.also, check the filter as well.(transmission filter could be clogged)

SOURCE: 2007 dodge caravan, won't start at first. I leave

Sounds like the shifter linkage needs adjusted. There is a neutral saftey switch that prevents the car from being started in any foward or reverse gear. If the shifter linkage is out of adjustment, the neutral safety switch will give you starting problems.

When your truck is shifting like you mentioned you need to check the battery cables. Better yet just replace the cables. Even a small amount of corrosion can cause a break down in the flow of current to the trans computer and cause erratic shifting. New cables should fix you right up. If this does not take care you need to start looking into "noise" from the alternator wire or other electrical interferrence. Another possible solution is to install a Hapi Box which clears interferrence in the wire from the TPS to the trans computer. It worked on my '02 until the cables corroded. I stripped back about 6" and found a mess in there. Good luck. (oh, Dodge will seel you a new trans to fix this problem. Be ware.)

How do i put on snow chains on my 1995 dodge intrepid and how should they fit?

Park the car on a flat surface, free of traffic put the chains around the tire with the hooks at the front. Back up the vehicle a quarter a tire turn and stop and do up inside hook first, then outside. Remember chains wear out so only use them in the worst of conditions, but they do enhance your traction by 500%

Car was driving fine for a while but cut off restarted ran rough and got home now wont restart. Has 55K miles original miles. Was driven daily an hour each way. Kinda need back on road cost effectively.

Sounds like a fuel filter. Next I would check the head gasket. See if there is any coolant in the oil. If this was at all helpful, please rate. Thanks for asking.

1995 dodge intrepid

The ignition switch is faulty if the gauges and dash lights will not come on, change the fuses first. Transmission fluid and filter change needed. Differential gear oil change also needed.
