Question about Cars & Trucks
1989 nissian D21 the engine have 8 spark plugs when i start the engine black moke come out the tail pipe and the engine is running rich i replace new spark plugs and ingition wires but the fire is red what is causing this? can you send me a firing order on this engine? when i disconnect the wires from spark plugs the engine don't change why?
Hmmm sounds like the fuel pump is more of the issue as its sending too much fuel into the motor making it run rich or the gas that your using is too rich for the motor itself

You either have had the wrong valve seals installed, they are physically missing, or the valves are incorrect (too loose in the guides/stem too thin). The rocker arm seals will not contribute to your issue. If it did not have the oil smoke before you took the head off, the issue is with whatever the machine shop did. Valve seals have to fit TIGHT, or oil will go down the valve stem into the intake.
Take the head back to the machine shop & tell them to fix it. For free.

SOURCE: runs rich and miss fires
Make sure the spark plug wires are on right (propper firing order), and check the TPS sensor. Are there any exhaust leaks or vacuum leaks? Did you use the original intake manifolds and Holley throttle body? If not you need to replace the PROM chip with the one from the donor car.

I would say replace ignition coil, that might me the problem, otherwise it can be the ecu, which might have some electrical problems not allowing the car to stay running. Good luck.
