What battery? You talking about car battery or key-fob battery? If vehicle battery is down, get it charged up. If you can't open the hood, sometimes you can use battery charger at starter motor bat terminal, to charge.
Some makes and models, you can remove rear seat back to access the trunk?
I don't know your year--make--model?

How to open the trunk on 2004 Jaguar XJR. The battery is dead.

Hi Manuel:
Is it possible to open the hood?
If so, you should be able to attach jumper cables (Alternator or Relay?) to get the switches powered up. I'm assuming the trunk latch is electrical.

Battery just went dead, i can't open the trunk to jump start the battery. how can i open the trunk w/ a dead battery?

If you can open the hood, you can jump start the car at the alternator. Put the positive jumper cable on the large + wire on the alternator, and attach the negative - to any bracket or to the engine block and this will start your car, or open the trunk.
