Check each door switch drivers and passengers for a tight fit and then snap the buttons in and out by just pushing them in and sliding your finger off till it snaps out. Do this several times and you may solve the problem. Otherwise, the door switch has reached a point where it is not being fully depressed when the door is closed. Try to wiggle the closed doors from the outside, with the window open so you'll have something to grab onto. If there is excesive play in the door thats your proble, it needs to be re aligned.

Lincoln town car 2002 lights turn on themselves

on a 02 lincoln they are supost too , what i mean is they are called curtesey lights, you should not have to touch a light switch ever as this car has "daylght" headlamps, also interor lights all have a soft glow feature as they will gradually dim down but not go completly off till you move car forward aprox five feet

Interior light won't shut off, even when the car is locked and engine is off

When it was working normally, did the light go out slowly when the door was shut ? If it did, it sounds like there is a fault in the electronics inside the interior light unit.
I suspect it wont be feasible to repair it and you'll need to buy a replacement unit.

If not, it is probably an earth fault in a connection from one of the door switches themselves, or the wires from the switches to the interior light unit.

why do you need central locking when driving the car?? have you ever watched people burn in a locked car in a accident burning your hand trying to pull the button up but central locking holding it down.got one kid out by smashing window upon which interior of car went woosh with inrush of air then gas tank went up.Not a pleasent memory
