Here is a pic of a schrader valve. They all look about the same.
If there isn't much pressure, cycle the ignition without turning the engine over and try again. If it is still weak, you may need a new fuel filter. If it is strong, you may have dirty or clogged fuel injectors.
It may be spark, but I'm inclined to think it is fuel related.
Good luck, and keep us in the loop!

Had the same problem with my 2004 Chevy Malibu Classic which is essentially a 2003 Malibu, and as we know, I believe 1999-2003 Malibu's are essentially the same. It might not be an electrical problem or a fuel system problem. It is actually most likely a security problem. Now I am not a mechanic, but something about the key you are using and the security system can lose their synch. All you have to do is get in your car, turn the key to the on position without actually starting the car. Leave the car on for 10 -12 minutes. The security dummy light on the dash will blink as soon as you have turned your car on. Once the light stops flashing somewhere around 10 or so minutes, turn the car off, then start it. It will start. The loss of synch between your key and car causes the Malibu security system to shut down the fuel supply so that a thief (as it thinks you are hotwiring the car) cannot drive the car anywhere. Try it, even if that isn't the answer, it can't hurt a thing to give it a try.
