I can't see how to get the air filter removed from a Plymouth voyger. Do you have to disconnect from the bottom once screws removed? Case doesn't seem to snap open.

remove the bolts holding the resonator from the top of the filter housing, loosten the hose clamp connecting the resonator housing to the intake manifold, remove hose connected to resonator housing, remove the bolt connecting the resonator housing to the radiator, now that the assembly is loose, remove it from the engine bay. You should see the filter box by now, remove the clamps around the air filter box and remove the lid.

see attached images for further clarification.

Information on how to remove oil filter housing

Removing your oil filter housing is a simple task with the correct tools. You will need to evacuate the oil in the drain pan before removing the filter housing. You need a torx bit to remove the housing. The oil filter housing is located near the distributor cap. You can unbolt the housing by unscrewing the torx bolt on the outside of the neck. The filter and the housing will come out.

Need to remove oil filter housing - oil leaking out. How do you remove it? Bolt location, etc. The car just dumped almost all it's oil in the driveway while it was idling. The leak appears to be around the...

This is not an easy repair in your driveway, but can be done. 1st thing, have you checked to see if the oil filter is the issue or is it the drain plug? If its the oil filter housing gasket, you will need to remove the filter. The housing is held in place by the threaded bolt assy that the filter screws onto. You will need to remove that bolt, remove the coolant hoses. Clean the engine block surfaces, for the new gasket to mate to, clean the cooling housing surfaces, install the bolt through the housing, and install the gasket onto it. Then install the bolt/housing into the block and tighten the bolt. Install the coolant hoses, oil filter. Fill the cooling system with the coolant that you removed. Fill the engine with oil, start and check for leaks.

2004 Impala Air Filter Removal

I generally remove the rubber boot behind the filter to the intake housing. should be two hose clamps. Unplug the two wires pluged into the boot and slip it out of the way. They don't give you enough room to get the filter out with. This gives you about 4 inches of extra space.

I can't find the air filter

For my 2006 HHR (2.4L), you have to remove the air-intake/cleaner HOUSING first. This includes
1. There is a large (2.5" diameter) hose that is located at the front/center of the housing. Loosen large hose clamp from the hose that connects to the housing and pull hose off of HOUSING.
2. There is large diameter hose that is located on the right side (passenger side) of the housing that needs to be loosened, then removed.
3. Remove two 13mm nuts on the back of the housing that connects the housing to the engine.
4. Remove one little torx bolt on front/right side.
5. Unplug the electronics connector.
6. Now it's ready to come out!!

Now you have to disassemble the housing because the air filter is in there. This is simple.
1. Remove seven (7) torx screws and split the housing open ... remove the old filter with a new filter.

Reassemble!!!
