SOURCE: Cooling fan wont work

The water temp sensor is located near the thermostat housing. This sensor is what tells the ECM to turn the fan on/off. The water temp sending unit is located near the same area. You know you have the correct sensor is because the water temp sensor has a 2 prong plug. The water temp sending unit only has 1 prong.

SOURCE: electric radiator fan won't come on when engine gets hot

I had the same problem. Check the fans relay behind the front grill, in front of the radiator, more accesible if you take the headlight (driver's side) out.

SOURCE: cooling fan for acura tl 2000 does not work

If you can locate the temperature switch, looks like a large bolt head with 2 wires on it, bridge the wires on it, and this should make the fan work. If the fan works then this switch is faulty. If the fan doesn't then it could be the fuse, or a broken wire.
The fan switch is either on the radiator or on the thermostat housing.
If you can get to it easy, short across with a screwdriver.

SOURCE: radiator fan not working 1996 acura integra..

Jump a wire from the battery to the hot lead on the fan -- see if it turns -- if it turns, check the fan relay.

What causes both cooling fans to not run?

Hi Naomi , there is a lot involved in the control of the cooling fans on your vehicle ! There are three fuse's , three relays an a fan control unit !
1. radiator fan main relay , located in underhood relay box A
2.condenser fan relay , located in underhood relay box A
3.radiator fan relay , located in underhood relay box C
4.Cooling fan fuse # 47 20amp. underhood fuse / relay box
5.condenser fan fuse # 50 20amp in underhood fuse / relay box.
Any one of these could cause them to not work, rather then just replacing parts an wasting money you should take it to the repair shop !

Fans come on when turn the ac on,but when u turn tha heat on it blows out cold air, fans will not come on when temp guage reaches halfway.i changed the thermostat, sensor, and motor blower relay.it stills...

Take off your radiator cap when it is cold. Start your engine and look inside the radiator and see if the water is circulating when it gets warm. Rev the engine while watching inside the radiator hole. Be sure to be careful to not get burnt by letting it get to hot. You just want to see if the water is going around. If it is not, you could have a bad water pump.

96 Acura RL overheating.

have you changed the thermostat? located at upper hose opposite radiator end in the gooseneck (usually 2 screws) make sure you buy a gasket or gasket making compound if changing. most overheats occur due to stuck thermostat (doesn't open to cool) you could pull tstat out for temp fix but it wouldn't heat well in colder weather

The radiator fans are not coming on to cool car and it is overheating, where is the problem? i have an acura tl 05

I would first check to see that the fans are there and they were not stolen or something .... then the fuses ... then the relays ... verify there is power to the fans ...
