You can look inside the socket and see two grooves in it. You need to remove the fuse, and then reach inside with two small flat head screw drivers at the same time and push the tabs out while pulling on the socket. This is not easy to do, and I would suggest taking to a dealer for removal due to they have a special tool that clicks into place and pulls it out easily.

Remove the water pump assembly to the timing chain housing bolts (2).
2. Remove the water pump.
3. Remove the water pump O-ring.
The drive belt tensioner must be unloaded and the drive belt removed
before the water pump is removed.
