SOURCE: alarm wont let me start the car

you need the remote control of the alarm to turn the alarm off.

you may need to change the battery of the remote in case it would no longer control the alarm or if you have a valet switch to turn off the alarm, then use it.

the immobilizer is working that is why you can not start the car.

tnx 4 using fixya,

SOURCE: 1995 jeep gc limited runs then shuts off

The Chrysler factory VTSS vehicle theft security system will do just that. Try unlocking the vehicle with the remote or one of the three VTSS switches, both front doors or the rear hatch. Sometimes the door switches get damaged front "Slim Jimming" the lock. The rear hatch switch is usually intact. The VTSS should "Arm" after a battery disconnect or dead battery. The VTSS cannot be bypassed once it is activated. If you put a previously installed ECM that was on a vehicle with VTSS, on a vehicle without VTSS the vehicle will not run.

Bypass security system

depends on design on unit, on most you can simply disconnect system power and youre good to go. other in line systems require un installing the unit. either way sounds like the system is causing more problems than its solving. i would suggest removing it entirely

I need a wiring diagram for a factory alarm system on a 93 Bonneville SSEi

If you bypassed it at the ignition switch and not at the Theft Deterrent Module, you have only bypassed a portion of the system. Go to this link for info on the subject.

It's going to have to be looked at. But you can try unlocking a different door with the key. Hold it to the left (unlock position) for 2 or three seconds. Should shut off the alarm and allow you to start it.

Jeep starts but wont stay running. changed fuel filter O2 sensor and cleaned injectors. When running it runs great. after it warms up if you can get it to run that long it runs great.

Possible electrical problem. If the module in the distibutor gets hot it will shut the vehicle down, let it cool down for about 10 min. and it starts again ?

Alarm won't shut off so I can't start my car.

there should be a fuse in the power line to the alarm that can be pulled. Another possible solution would be to replace the started kill switch located under the dashboard steering column in most cases. If the vehicle is equipped with glass breakage detectors you can try unplugging the detector or motion sensor, again usually located under the dash either under the steering column or behind the glove compartment.
