Question about Toyota Cars & Trucks
Hi, the engine in my 2005 Toyota Corolla overheated twice, it has the 1400 4ZZ vvti engine in it. This time it were not be repaired it rcos the head could not be skimmed and there was excessive damage to the sub assembly. We decided to purchase a second hand engine and fit it, the engine starts but it very noisy initially, the only time the clunky noise lessened is when I revved the car passed 2000 rpm and when I then releases the accelerator pedal the idling becomes extremely erratic, hunting and eventually stutters and the engine dies. I'm not too sure if all my piping is connected properly. Where can I download a free workshop manual for the car
Sounds like you have not connected the wiring correctly, don't think there are any free manuals, you could ask in the toyota owners club.
