there are 50 causes for that.
and 4 major systems to test. do you have tools. an meters and gauges to check engines.? if not get a mech, that has that
if you want to DIY , then get the tools.
ill list the 4 systems. (not each test)
1: 12vdc power to the whole EFI system.
2: good compression
3: lost spark.
4: bad fueling

there are test to find the 4 paths. #1 is easy a voltmeter will tell you good or bad.

Trac off light is on and check engine light is on, toyota yaris 2012

You would need to have the engine computer checked for trouble codes to proceed. The trac light off would be on anytime the check engine light is on.

2004 sunfire cooling is always on when the car is running

The cooling fan is controlled by a temperature switch located on the radiator or on the engine. When the temperature of the coolant exceeds the switch temperature rating, the switch closes and energises a relay that switched a voltage to run the fan and it will continue to run until the coolant temperature drops back below the opening point of the switch. In your case, you may need to have the cooling fan replaced.

I have a toyota yaris 1.0 on 2001 it has a blue i think water temperature light popped up do i need to worry

Make sure the radiator is full when the engine is cold. Also check the over flow bottle to be sure it is full to the specified line.If they are both OK then the water temp. sensor may be defective.

2007 yaris will not change up to top gear when cold. Is this a problem ? Dealer says it is built in to warm the engine quicker !!!!

The dealer is wrong. 100%.

Here is the actual reason why it does not shift until warm:

The final upshift is determined by engine temperature. The final shift is prevented from occuring until the coolant temperature reaches 177 degrees F. This is done thru programming in the engine computer. The reason why is: the engine produces a larger pollutant output when cold, in the higher gears. Keeping the last shift from happening decreases the load placed on the catalytic converter. It is really all about controlling emissions.

I hope this helps you out.

Thanks for choosing FIxYa for a solution to your problem. A "FixYa" rating (4 blue diamonds) would be greatly appreciated for my assistance to you. Thanks!
