SOURCE: Ford focus 2008 tdci 1.6 changed the fuel filter

Just make sure that the outlet on the fuel filter is pointing toward's the front or to injector's. There is no air to be bleed out of fuel system, just turn key and fuel system will pressureize, also check your fuel cut off switch might be located at driver side kick panel, will have a round cover with fuel shut off on it. good luck, hope this was helpful.

1.6 duratorq tdci wont start after cutting out during regen

sorru without my heads in the engine i couldnt tell you ,but providing that everything is ok like timing belt and oil and water ect then what i do with these engines is too use a external fuel pump and pressurise the fuel from the outlet of the filter to the common rail pump ,often they get a air lock and defy all but you know who.musnt say god in case i offend the muslims or the jehovehs or somehting but that normally works ,now another tip depending on year and look in the intake pipe from the turbo to inlet manifold and see if your one has a sensor halfway along this pipe ,if it has remove it and make sure that it isnt full of oil as this stops it from starting and make sure their isnt excessive oil in the turbo pipe indicating that the turbo bearings are worn ,then the oil builds up in this pipe causing this sensor to not read stopping the engine from starting ,as for a crank sensor then never had one fail as yet ,its whats known as a hall sensor its just a coil that a reads a magnetic field ,and yes its favourite among a lot of get rich quick garages.Especially opel dealers on the zafiro/astra range of engines when it just the computer needs remapping as its bolted to the engine and get hot . But thats another story

What is TSB 7/2006

TSB 7/2006
Subject/Concern: Hesitations; Poor or no start; Deteriorated fuel economy; Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P1412, P0490 and P1335 stored
Model: Focus C-MAX 2003.75 (06/2003?¿½) Build Date: 14.02.2004-01.03.2006
Build Code: 4R-6S
Assembly Plant: Saarlouis
Engine: 2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel
Focus 2004.75 (07/2004?¿½) Build Date: Up to 01.03.2006
Build Code: Up to 6S
Assembly Plant: Saarlouis
Assembly Plant: Valencia
Engine: 2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel
Markets: All
Section: 303-08

Should a customer express concern about one of the following:

* hesitations,
* poor or no start,
* deteriorated fuel economy,
and upon investigation diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P1412, P0490 and P1335 are stored in the powertrain control module (PCM), the probable cause is a sticky exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve.

To rectify this concern, a new EGR valve with a stronger EGR valve motor and revised PCM calibration should be installed.

Ford 2007 Focus, engine 1,6 Duratorq TDCi, produced in Germany EU, distance covered 80000km. Problem: Engine indicator light is on (right side of control panel). Let me know, please what does it mean? Is...

Unfortunately you need a EBDII diagnostics tool to check what the light means, it could be many things. You can purchase a cheap, simple one from an auto store, or off ebay. The engine will sometimes protect itself by limiting the revs, 'limp home mode'. A common fault is the Lambda O2 sensor, not working. So the engine cannot work out the correct fuel injection. Not life threatening to the engine, but it would not pass an emission test.
