Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a freight liner Columbus. They changed the starter on the truck and connected the wires the wrong way. of coarse it made a short and burnt the starter wires. the problem that I have is the truck wont start and it keeps saying no eng. we changed the fuses, fixed the wires, changed the relays, and we changed the computer box. still nothing.

In general once you get the error code "no engine" reading on your instrument cluster it is usually an indicator of lost communications between your engine and the trucks instrument cluster.Which does fall in line with your diag. of possibly the wires having been hooked up improperly. This is only part of what could be wrong, the Freightliner Sterling Truck is a good unit but once you get into electrical issues it can become a nightmare especially while trying to follow the engineering wiring schematics/diagrams. A workshop manual will be imperative!
