99 Dodge Durango v8 5.2 L crank no start changed Distributor cap & rooter, spark plugs, and ignition coil and still won't start

It still sounds to me like you are not getting spark. Re check the spark plugs that they are properly tightened and that the plug wires are connected. I am thinking this is from the distributor cap to the spark plug where the problem is.

99 intrepid turns over with funny noise wont start changed crank and cam sensor and timing belt spark plugs flooding

Are you sure of the firing order,if that is not correct or your timing is off because the crank timing marks are not inline then it will never start until you correct this.Other than that you really did not give enough information, could be a dozen other reasons.Generally speaking if you have spark and fuel you should get fire. The fact that you are flooding you plugs out could simply mean that there is no spark present .

My 99 buick regal cranks over and starts but has trouble running. If you give it gas to help it through the start up it levels out and runs fine. Fuel pump is good, I've changed spark plugs and wires,

sounds like a stuck open EGR valve to me , take it off of a cool engine and spray some carb cleaner around the seat see if any leaks through to the other side. If it does The valve is bad. Also check out your throttle body for carbon and gumming. W/ engine off spray an appropriate carburator
cleaner into the opening and clean throttle plate and bore with a rag until shiney. put all the air cleaner hoses back together and hold throttle to floor momentarily until engine starts, then rev up half way and release throttle twice quickly, now allow engine to idle idle should be stable and smooth. If not then check for other sources of vaccume leaks.

No spark to ignition coil or spark plugs. we have replaced all spark plugs and wires cap and rotor down stream O2 sensor too.

The Cam & Crank Sensor controls whether the coils will give spark to the engine or not if you scan the computer it should give you a code for 1 of these sensors. They are very easy to change and are only around $50.00 each.

My durango will start but not stay running unless you keep giving it gas,if you let off the gas it dies.wont idle on its own at all.

hi, there may be a number of things blocked SLOW RUNNING JETS ( inside carburetter), spark plugs need replacing or cleaning, high tention spark plug leads dodgy (cracked insulation) leaking current (missing spark), distributer cap and or rotar arm ( cap inside distributer), insufisient fuel feed. gerry

What coul be keeping my 1986 honda civic from starting? The plugs all spark, the fuel pump gives gas to the carb, Ive changed all plugs cap and rotor and have tried spraying starter fluid directly into...

It cranks really good sputters a little and makes some loud pops but it will not turn over? FYI:Cranking and turning over are the same thing. When was the last time it ran. The gas could be bad. Did you get new plug wires as well. Try testing the distributor, remove a spark plug, plug it back into the wire, and touch the threads to ground and crank the engine. It should spark. Keep your fingers away, that's high voltage. Remove all spark plugs, spray some starting fluid in each cylinder, then crank the engine with the plugs out. This will clean any debris from the cylinders. Engines need backpressure to run properly, a major exhaust leak hence the popping, could cause it to not run. If you can get it started try to keep it going, full throttle, keep in the starting fluid, it could just need to get warm. I used to have one of them and they don't like it when they're cold.

99 5.2 durango :pulled codes for multipe missfire cylinder #5-7

Aloha We have just replaced all of what you have replaced, plus water pump, fuel pump, pcv valve and 02 sensor. Took it to mechanic today we had misfire on 1,2,6,7. Mechanic said that the 99 dodge is known for bad computers, he checked ours and works great turns out that it was the coil. Ours was jumping 1/4 inch and had a orange/yellow spark. it is supposed to have a 1 inch spark and be blue. This has solved our problems after 527 dollars later.
Check the coil!
