SOURCE: Steering Wheel is upside down

You can problably take the wheel off and turn it around. The shaft and wheel are splined. You will need a special puller. Most auto parts stores have tool loaning programs. Just ask for a steering wheel puller. It is a fairly easy job. About a three out of five.

In turbo hydro 700 why would forward gears make the rear wheels go in reverse

Your differential is upside down. Ford model T's had the same problem. It was possible to mount the rear axle upside down which made the car go forward in reverse and backward in forward gears.

Locked ignition steering wheel locked

Some of these cars had a button under the steering column that you could push to release the locked wheel. Feel under the steering wheel and column going from the end of the wheel towards the dash and see if there is button on the underside that you can push.
Good luck.

Raising the spare tire

Sometimes the wheel is shaped differently on one side than the other. It may have to be installed upside down or rightside up to fully crank up in position.

Your spare could show a dirty side and a clean side. Usually the dirty side is the side that is hanging down at the bottom.

The side of the wheel that shows on the outside is flush with the lug
nuts. The backside of the rim has a cavity for the brake assembly to fit in and this accounts for the difference between lifting the rim using the front or back side.

The lifting cable is only so long, so it makes a difference whether it lifts immediately or has to travel through the rim cavity.

Please rate my info.

Steering wheel upside down

If your car is still drivable, meaning nothing major has failed (i.e. steering box, pitman arm, etc.), I would believe that your steering wheel out of alignment is due to poor front end alignment. Since front end alignments are not for the DIYer, I suggest that you take your car intp the shop. A typical alignment costs around $80 and is guaranteed from 3-12 months. A shop will not guarantee it any longer since your car is constantly changing and parts are continuing to wear out, thus, chaging your car's aligment.

Good Luck.

Sheared front lug

First remove wheel from car. Next take large hammer and drive whats left of lug out, you may need to use a punch if sheared off below hub hight. Now insert new lug stud in from back side of hub and use a open style lug nut (like those you see on old cars without nice wheels) and put on upside down, flat side towards hub. tighten up by hand then use socket to tighten down untill stud is pulled in all the way. In some cases you may need to use a few washes under nut to give enough room for shank on stud.
