Electrical problem for the fuel no power

A lot of newer vehicles have a fuel pump cutout switch on the engine. If the engine shuts down for any abnormal reason, it loses oil pressure and one of the things that happens is the fuel pump is cutoff. This is a safety item in case of an accident which shuts off the engine. Check for the oil pressure cutout switch on the engine, which is usually different from the oil pressure gauge or light switch. Can't say exactly where it is, sometimes on the upper rear part of the engine behind intake manifold or on lower side of engine right into the block. The fuel pump run circuit is different from the fuel gauge circuit although they usually run in the same wiring harness if the fuel pump is in the tank. If the pump is not in the tank then the fuel level sender in the tank is probably defective and should be replaced.

No power to fuel pump or gage replac relay still no power

If the engine cranks and tries to run but dies when the key is released then the oil pressure/fuel pump cutout switch or wiring is defective. My 96 and 97 GM trucks had problems with the relay connections getting overheated and the terminal in the fuse/relay box didn't make good connection even with a new relay. If the fuel pump is in the tank then either the connector on the top of the tank for the fuel pump module is loose/defective or the fuel module ground connection at the engine is loose/disconnected.

cut off switch could still be bad. First my sure gas is getting to the engine....if so then this indicates that fuel system is working properly. Sounds like car may not be firering. Things that could cause this is coil bad, ingnition modual failed or maybe pickup coil."sensor maybe some where..timing out which would indicate timing belt or chain or gears are broke......Keep in mind these are just some things that could cause your problem and gives you ideal what to look for........hope this info helps and good luck....Please rate this post and if you need more help then fill free to contact me and we will try to get ya back on the road......

I have a 2001 s10 pickup and there is no power to the fuel pump. I have checked all the fuses and relays and can't find the problem. Is there something I am missing?

i assume you checked for current with the key on the on position ,because thats when it works, if you checked all fuses and relays it must be a bad wire ,follow the wire back from the pump as far as u can and check for breaks cuts , worse comes to worse run a hot wire to pump and to your own toggel switch

1994 Probe: wont start dash says fuel cutout...

There is a fuel cutout switch located in the trunk. It is often referred to as the inertial fuel cut, as it is designed to trigger in an accident. Sometimes it can trigger at other times, like moving things around in the trunk or a particularly violent pothole etc.

It is located on the wall of the spare tire well, in the bottom of the trunk, and should have a user-operated button or switch on the outside of the housing. Resetting this should fix your problem.

VERY Probable! You need to get that Probe to a Mechanic and have it Diagnosed. You can also Purchase a Diagnostic tool for the Computer at Any Good Auto Parts Store and Try this yourself! This is Most Definitally a Computer Error Code Problem.
